A 12-year-old boy mysteriously disappeared while playing hide and seek near his home in Lop Buri, only to be found hours later in a perplexing incident that has residents contemplating supernatural explanations.
On March 25, 2025, emergency services and local police were alerted about the boy’s disappearance from his home in the Mueang district. The search efforts began around 11:45 am, with family, local leaders, and police scouring the area, including the nearby forest and hill, but the boy remained unfound until 3pm.
The missing boy, referred to as 'A,' was eventually located by his friends, Jazz, a 10-year-old girl, and Keng, a 9-year-old boy, who said he was sitting quietly near his own home. This revelation astonished everyone, as the area had been thoroughly searched for almost three hours.
Despite their efforts, none had noticed the boy, who was sitting near a sunshade, appearing disoriented and covered in dirt from the heat and earth.
When questioned, the boy explained he felt neglected because he was not allowed to perform a traditional Thai dance, which he had started during the game. Jazz recounted that while playing, the boy had emerged from hiding to perform a dance they’d never seen before, which she found unsettling.

Residents plan to hold a merit-making ceremony on March 30, the anniversary of the murder, to dedicate blessings to the wandering souls, hoping to bring peace to the area.
