(AUDIO) Argentine Man Captures the Scream of the Legendary UCUMAR!
The 'Ucumar,' a hairy hominid that is said to exist throughout the country. It is also described as a 'goblin-like' creature.
A man under the username @daniealf7fa, uploaded a video to TikTok that quickly went viral, in which an unusual roar is heard near the Lesser waterfall, in San Lorenzo, Salta. The author of the video suspects that the sound could be related to the Ucumar, a mythological creature from the region that, according to legends, lives in the ravines and rivers of the area.
The images shared on the social network show the mountain landscape of San Lorenzo, known for its lush vegetation and water courses. In the background, a deep and prolonged roar is heard that does not match the typical sounds of the local fauna.
The Ucumar is a mythological creature described as a bear-man with humanoid features or, in other versions, as a beast covered in hair, with a long beard and narrow forehead. According to legend, it lives in deep caves in ravines and roams rivers and streams, where it bathes and leaves footprints similar to those of a bear. In some traditions, it is associated with the protection of nature, while in others it is considered a feared being that can attack those who invade its territory.
