A group of friends camping outside of Pittsburg, Kansas, have a frightening encounter with a 7-foot upright canine. The beast chases them as they flee on four-wheelers.
I received the following account:
"I was camping with some friends just outside the city limits for Pittsburg, Kansas and we rode 4-wheelers. We turned down this one country road and we rode all to the end of the road and turned around.
When we were about halfway down the road we saw what looked like a massive wolf standing on its hind legs in the ditch at the side of the road. We stopped and looked around and it was then standing in the middle of the road. It was about 6.5 -7.0 feet tall and about 4.5 feet wide. It just stood there watching us. Then, all of a sudden, it started running at us. We took off and hit about 65 mph and it was about 10 feet behind chasing us. When we turned off the road it just stopped and started walking back.
We then went back to the campsite and piled everyone in my truck with shotguns and rifles going to look for it. When we got back to the same road we looked everywhere but couldn't find anything. This occurred in November 2017." L
