I received the following account from a reader:
"Hi, Lon. I read the article about the deceased dog and his pack visiting. I had a similar experience with our cat Leonardo or Leo, who is in the photo attached. He was a wanderer and always came back, but one day he just disappeared completely.
Approximately 6 months later, one early morning, I was dreaming about a lion and I put my head in its jaws and jolted myself awake at the thought. Still in a dreamy state, but awake. I felt a 'tap, tap, tap' on my hand and it felt like a fine paintbrush. Thinking it was an insect or spider I sat up and felt actual pressure on the bed of four paws walking along to the end of the bed and jumping off. But couldn't see anything physical.
I knew straight away from the dream (Leo the Lion) that it was his tail tapping, as cats do, and he had come to say goodbye.
