A Texas woman's father, and then herself, encounter a dark-eyed, winged human female dressed in a flowing dress or robe while driving on a particular country road at night.
I received the following account:
"I remember a story a woman told me a long time ago. This was back in the 1980s. We worked for the federal government in a clerical capacity together. This coworker and I began talking about weird experiences one day and she told me that her father had an encounter, and then the same thing had happened to her.
I have no reason to believe or disbelieve her, but she had always seemed of sound mind, seemed very normal, and had never seemed untrustworthy to me.
Her dad lived in San Antonio, Texas. Apparently, he drove back and forth to work in the evenings on a particular road out in the country, but very close to a highway. He came home one night and told the family that a flying figure the size of a human had followed him in his car for quite a while as he drove up the road. He saw it coming up behind him, and then it flew beside his driver-side window. When he looked at it, it looked human, but the eyes were very dark and it had a frightening face. He described it as being dressed in a flowing, light-colored dress or robe and he assumed it was a woman.
Of course, he was frightened out of his wits by it, and he acknowledged that he knew he sounded crazy, but he swore it had happened.
My coworker said at some point she was riding along with him in his car on this same road one night, and the same thing had happened to them. She swore that she saw the same creature flying beside the car. It was on her father’s side of the car and its head was just at the level of her father‘s head, looking at them through the window. I remember she said she had screamed, and her father swerved the car. I don’t remember anything else other than her saying that it absolutely was not a bird. I have never forgotten this story.
It really creeps me out because I was just remembering that and I hadn’t thought about it in a very long time." D
