At around 9:30 PM, on the evening of August 8, 2024, several odd-looking glowing objects appeared to fly over a reserve in Manitoba. Clint Bird shared a photo of the objects on the Canadian UFO Files Facebook Group. It was not his photo; the man who took the video was not sharing it with the wider public, only his close friends.
In his post, Clint wrote: There’s been a sighting on Waywayseecappo Reserve, Manitoba about 9:30pm tonight. 7-8 red lights overseen by multiple witnesses.” He added later, “It looks like a small fleet.” The image does appear to show at least six objects drifting near a building at around dusk. Clint later clarified that the location was “Near Rossburn, Manitoba”.
Sadly, the Canadian UFO Files Facebook Group that he shared it to, like most anything related to the UFO topic nowadays, has been over-run with skeptics and debunkers so it’s no surprise the usual ‘Chinese lanterns’, ‘drones’ and ‘hoax’ junk flooded in the comment section.
Accompanying his post was a screenshot belonging to one Marlin Leigh Shingoose. It’s unclear if Marlin was the person who filmed the video, but it seems likely. In the screenshot, Shingoose writes: “Seen some UFO over the gas bar this evening. It was bright orange and was moving north by northeast. By [the] time I got out of my truck to video, it quickly disappeared and was moving pretty fast."
