The day after an unexplained vehicle accident, the witness sees an unknown furless rancid-smelling creature while driving home. Then he is chased by a blacked-out SUV.
I received the following account:
"A few weeks ago, I was heading back from my girlfriend's house. She lives in a rural area south of Augusta, Georgia. The day before she and I crashed my car into a fence post on the same road due to an unknown reason. I was driving and when we were going around a corner on the gravel road we were not going faster than 20 mph. There were no skid marks or objects in the road to cause an accident, but we heard a God-awful scream in the woods as we got out of the car to assess the damage. It sounded like a bobcat attacking a woman with the rumble of a truck engine simultaneously.
We sat in my vehicle for at least 2 hours and while we were waiting for help we smelled an odor that I will never forget. The only way I can describe it is that if you take rotting flesh, wet dog, sewage water, and burning hair and roll it inside of a dead animal that would best describe it.
As I was making my way home from her house it was about 9 pm and dark with no street lights, in my dim barely working headlights I saw this thing. It is about the size of a large Labrador Retriever. It seemed to have no fur but was a dirty white. I couldn't tell but it looked injured. Being the animal lover I am I stop and roll down my passenger side window and whistle at it. As soon as I rolled the window down I caught wind of that horrid odor so I grabbed my spotlight and shined it on the thing. I kid you not, its neck snapped around and looked at me with these piercing yellow eyes. That's when I tear out of there.
I was about halfway down the dirt road when I spotted a blacked-out newer SUV that is just sitting on the side of the road with no lights on other than the glow of a cigarette in the cab. Being terrified, I blow straight past them. As I'm passing them they turn on their headlights and start after me. I've seen that movie before, so I take a few wrong turns to see if they are truly following me. So I take three wrong turns and they are still riding my tail with the high beams on.
I'm panicking at this point so I call my dad saying someone is following me. My father says to come in the back gate so I floor it down a single-lane dirt road trying to lose this guy. As I make a quick turn onto my road I black out my lights and he blows straight past me on the road I was previously on. I meet my dad at the gate and he has a gun in hand.
I still have so many questions about what happened that night. I don't know if they are connected or if it's just a series of creepy events. What do you think? C
NOTE: I have to admit, that is a bizarre string of incidents occurring within 24 hours. It seems the witness either observed or did something that they shouldn't have. Quite interesting. Lon
