MYSTERY CREATURE Slays LIVESTOCK!
In Nuevo Laredo, they reported that a creature came to a ranch located to the west of the city and killed 17 animals, among which there were sheep and goats. The rancher arrived at the place to feed the animals, but they were all dead and watered by different parts of the land. The events occurred recently.
The animals were discovered by a rancher, and they no longer had vital signs, since apparently they had been lifeless in the corral for hours. MARS Was Like EARTH
A collection of rocks scattered on an ancient shoreline on Mars might indicate that the Red Planet was once far more Earth-like than scientists previously thought.
The rocks, discovered by NASA's Curiosity rover, are unusually rich in manganese oxide — a chemical that adds to growing evidence that the once-habitable Mars may have sported Earth-like oxygen levels and life-friendly conditions early in its history, scientists say.
NASA calls manganese on Earth "an unsung hero in the evolution of life." TSUCHINOKO Cryptid Festival
A festival in which people search for the legendary snake-like creature called the tsuchinoko was held in Higashi-Shirakawa, a village in Gifu Prefecture, on Friday. Many participants brought their families along, seeking adventure as they hunted for the mysterious beast. Tomoki Imai, a village local who directed a feature-length documentary on the tsuchinoko, also attended the festival to promote his film and liven up the festivities.
The festival, which was held for the 32nd time this year, features a variety of events centered around the search for the tsuchinoko, sightings of which have been reported in the village since long ago. Participants had to apply in advance and were limited to no more than 2,200 people.
A reward is offered to anyone who catches a tsuchinoko, but no one has succeeded yet. On this day, approximately 800 people pursued the cryptid, hoping to claim the reward of ¥1.32 million, a prize which grows each year.
