A Phantoms & Monsters Radio listener contacted me about a sighting that she had near her home in suburban Philadelphia. Was it a 'pale crawler?'
"Hey Lon. I've had my fair share of experiencing unexplainable things in the past 6 years. I'll try to describe my latest experience the best I can. It took place between April and June 2023. (I can't remember the exact month). I live in Pottstown which is a populated suburb an hour west of Philly. I have a security camera in my garage facing the road.
Around 4 am I was watching the live feed when all of a sudden something came walking down the street. I quickly said to my boyfriend "Look, look. What is that?" I initially thought it was a deer until I realized it was walking on 2 legs. I zoomed in on it and watched it walk quickly down the street, and then I lost sight of it once it was in front of my house. At that point, I prayed it would keep walking down the street and not stop in front of my house which thankfully it did.
I'll explain what we saw the best I can. This thing was I'd say 6-7' tall, pale white with maybe a light grayish waist that kind of looked almost see-thru, long legs that were awkward looking and moved oddly but steady, weird looking arms, and its head was odd-shaped and elongated. The weirdest thing was the way it was hunched over while walking at the pace it was. There's no way a person could walk this way. I couldn't see its face (I'm kind of glad I couldn't) but I know what we saw was not normal. It matches the description of the "pale crawlers/walkers" I've read about.
Thankfully I have not seen it again and I hope I never do. I tried drawing it the best I could, I'm not the best artist but it'll give you an idea of what it looked like." B
