Northeast Pennsylvania Resident Describes BIGFOOT Activity Around Home

A northeast Pennsylvania resident had several strange occurrences at his home, that most likely were the result of Bigfoot activity. The area, according to the man, is known for Bigfoot sightings.

"I'm from northeastern Pennsylvania. I started hunting with my dad at 5 years old and am now 55. I know our woods and game very well. I'd have to find a way to bring up Bigfoot with 95% of the people around me. These events happened where I live. To give you an idea of the terrain I live at the base of the Northwest slope of the Appalachian Mountains. My land backs up to the mountain which goes for miles of undeveloped land and the mountain range runs all the way to New York State.

There have been Bigfoot sightings over the years in the surrounding area. I have two good friends who had sightings. There's also an older report by men in our hunting camp on top of the mountain. I never saw one but had strange events occur on more than one occasion.

My first one was in my yard. It's about 9:00 PM in the summer, just getting dark. I had an issue with my septic pump and had the lid off the septic tank to install a backup pump. I was on my knees with my back to the woods. It was now dark and I was working under a spotlight. My mind was on the task and not too happy about literally performing this job. Out of nowhere the hairs on the back of my neck stood on end. That sixth sense that never lies to me and I got a chill up my spine like I never had before.

I don't scare easily but this had me at my wit's end. I popped to my feet and sprinted to my deck like I was on fire. My wife was on the deck and asked, 'What the hell is wrong with you? I've never seen you move that fast in my life.' I started staring into the woods and could now hear something big walking up from behind from where I was. It then turned slightly and it stayed about 20 yards in the wood line. I had a flashlight and shined it where I could hear the walking but I couldn't see anything. It stopped and stood for a while, It must have been looking at us on the deck and then it walked off. It spooked me to no end. That damn thing didn't make a noise until I was on my deck which is about 8 feet high. It was coming up directly behind me. It sounded like a person walking only at a slower pace. There was no eye shine either.

That Fall I kept hearing trees falling, big ones with no wind. A couple of times I could hear something walking then it would stop like a person that would walk up to something and do that half step to stop. Then I would hear the trees getting pushed over.

I was out working on our ground pool. I was squatted between the house and the pool not moving much or making any noise. All of a sudden I heard this rabbit squealing only about 30 yards from me. Being squatted I popped to my feet and the squealing stopped immediately. I could see the rabbit off to my left. I could see the bushes and trees moving like something was running but I couldn't see what it was. I looked back and I could still see the rabbit. I walked over. The rabbit was acting odd. It kind of just hopped away in the opposite direction of what looked like something running.

I went into my house for dinner, sat down, and started eating. I was thinking about what happened. From the ridge above my house, I heard this loud howl. My dogs picked up their heads and looked at me with a worried look on their face. They cowered and put their heads down. Usually, they would go ape after hearing a dog bark, coyotes howling, cats fighting, etc. The only thing that made them act like that was a bad thunderstorm.

Later, I was taking our older dog out through the side door on our garbage. As I opened the door the 30-foot-tall maple tree in my yard, with all the leaves, started shaking like crazy. There was no wind at all, and no other tree was shaking. My dog started smelling the ground and ran over to the base of the tree, circled the base of the tree, and sniffed up the tree. I never did see anything."

NOTE: From the description of the witness, it seems that his property was located just northeast of the Pocono Mountains before entering New York State. Lon

There is a region within the state of Pennsylvania where a vast majority of cryptid canine sightings have historically occurred. The Lycan Loop starts in northwest Pennsylvania near the Allegheny State Forest, extends southeast through the state, and ends near the southern reaches of the Susquehanna River near the Mason-Dixon Line. There have been sporadic reports throughout the state, but the Lycan Loop has proven to be a legitimate ‘hot spot.’ The team and I have investigated these cases, some of which were originally reported and investigated by Butch Witkowski.

So, relax and listen to these sightings and encounters. Then put yourself in the shoes of these witnesses and imagine how you would react to a similar situation. If you have questions, feel free to post them in the live chat. I will do my best to answer each.
