YouTube content creator & guide Steve Isdahl from 'The Facts by Howtohunt' details an early Sasquatch account that he received at a local watering hole.
"This goes back about 16 years and a friend of mine was a Fisheries officer, a guy with the gun in a badge in British Columbia. He used to laugh his head off at me every time the topic of Sasquatch came up. He'd just laugh, "Oh, here we go again. Right. Bigfoot."
Several of us would meet at the local pub that we all used to go hang out at. There were five or six of them sitting there. One of them is actually a biologist. I'd drop the old bomb, "Hey, anybody have any Sasquatch stories or see anything kind of weird while you're out there?" Nine times out of ten you get laughed. But that's how I'd find somebody to tell me a story because people don't offer it up. It only comes up if you ask.
Anyway, this one guy I'd seen around before. He started talking, saying there is an old road called Humpback Road, a thin winding road that went right along next to the Victoria Watershed at the base of the Sooke Hills area and it would come out onto the Sooke Highway, outside of town where all the cops might pinch you if you had a couple beers.
He said there were four of them in the car late at night. They're doing the overrun through through Humpback Road to avoid the cops. This thing he said came out of the darkness on the left side of the road. They were heading west towards Sooke. It came out and loped across on an angle in front of the car. He said it was absolutely massive, jet black. There's no way it was human, it may have been 9 feet tall. It took a couple of steps and dove over the bank down into the thick bush and into the blackness and disappeared."
NOTE: As Steve continued, he explained this was how he began gathering Sasquatch stories and became interested in cryptids and other unexplained subjects. He eventually started his channel 'The Facts By Howtohunt', where he has been sharing personal accounts from witnesses worldwide.
