The 'Not Deer' was first described as a phenomenon from Appalachia. But there have been similar sightings reported in other areas over recent years. So what is the 'Not Deer?' Is it just a freak of nature or is it a legitimate cryptid? Some say that it is a manifestation of Zombie Deer Syndrome or a wasting disease. That may be true in some instances. But generally, witnesses report an animal that has the body of a deer, but characteristics that parallel either human behavior & physical attributes.
