Enormous Tracks Discovered in Nancy Lake, Alaska Snow (PHOTO)

An Alaska couple are walking across frozen Nancy Lake to their cabin when the come across enormous barefoot prints in the snow. They take photographs and recall their account.

On Christmas morning in 2011, Dave and Elena Mabeus decided to head back to their cottage on Nancy Lake, Alaska. Nancy worked as a real estate agent and Dave was a business owner and the two liked to spend their vacation time at their cottage. There was no roads to it, so the only way to get to the cottage was by boat in the summer or by walking or by snowmobile across the frozen lake in the winter.

It was generally a two-hour walk in the winter depending on the conditions. The couple actually enjoyed the walk and would usually park their truck on the other side and make the trek across.

On that morning, it was 20 below and the couple was making their way across when they stumbled upon a set of enormous tracks – bare foot prints - in the snow. Dave was wearing “Bunny Boots” and they were dwarfed by these prints. The strides were five to six feet apart and Dave guessed that whatever made them had to stand 10 feet tall. It appeared to have come across from the forest on one side of the lake and made its way to the other side where it entered the woods beyond their cottage.

Upon arriving at the cabin, the couple could not stop talking about the print. They eventually went back out to see them again, but when they returned the snow drift had blown them away. The only proof they had of the print was a photo they took of it.
