Red-Eyed Beast in Cannock Chase
Victoria D wrote about her encounter with a strange creature in Cannock Chase:
"Back in 1995/6 I was driving back to Sheffield UK from Wales on the A5 through Cannock Chase. The road was empty as it was 2 AM. I was driving with my boyfriend in the passenger seat and two friends in the back. There were no street lights that I can remember. The road was quite straight on this stretch and I had my lights on full beam. I noticed about 400 yards in front of me an animal crossing the road but it was big. I called out to the others in the car to look and we all did. The animal stopped in the middle of the road and looked towards the car apparently unperturbed by my car and head lights coming towards it. What made us all shocked was its eyes were red in the headlights and you could see its outline and it was not a badger or a deer or anything we could recognize. The way it continued walking on all fours across the road slowly... it continued into the bushes at the side of the road as we were virtually level with it and we all caught a glimpse of the red eyes. We all gasped and said, What the hell is that? I didn’t want to find out and I put my foot on the gas and got the hell out of there. We discussed it on the way home but forgot about the incident. We have all parted company since then but I haven’t forgot about it. I've never told anyone else about this.”

This is the 1st time I have seen this video...forwarded to me by Rob Shaw. What do you think? Honestly...it looks somewhat like a Maine Coon or Bobcat, IMO.

The camera died during this filming. This is raw footage filmed on a Blackmagic camera (notorious for battery issues). The person that gave me this footage does not wish to be identified but has stated that he will interview and comment with his face blurred.
