'WTF is that?'
HEBRON, P.E.I. -- A Yarmouth County couple were scratching their heads after discovering an odd-looking creature they described as a “jellified leech of some type.”
It was found on Doctors Lake in Hebron on Thursday, Sept. 29.
Nick Nickerson said the creature wasn’t alive when his wife, Joan, found it near the water’s edge on a private beach area they have.
He said he’s never seen anything like it.
“Absolutely nothing,” he said. “We’ve lived here 14 years. I was on Lake Milo for 10 years.”
The creature, which was about 12-and-a-half inches long, he said, was “quite firm, transparent ... It seems to have, I don’t know, an intestinal tract or a line right through it. Very, very strange.”
Nickerson said he was planning to contact the Department of Natural Resources about it.
