Footage of a 'ghost girl' crossing the street and being hit by a car has gone viral in Mexico, sparking terror and speculation in equal measure.
The footage, filmed on September 18, shows the cloudy silhouette of what looks like a girl crossing the street in the district of Cuauhtemoc, Mexico City. It was reportedly captured on a security camera.
The image appears out of nowhere in the middle of the road and, almost instantly, a car passes clean through it - leaving the figure completely unmoved.
The video has already racked up nearly 400,000 views. Many people have suggested the image is a simple fake, with some speculating it is a promotion for a new film.
However, others are not so sure.
