The Old Woman on Highway 37
Jeff in Juneau, Alaska called in to tell of his bizarre sighting while travelling back from Seattle:
“We were on a big huge road trip. I live in Alaska here in southeast Alaska and the only way to get, if you wanna drive down to the states, you have to go through Canada. You have to take a ferry from here. There's no way to drive into where I live. Out here in Juneau in southeast Alaska is like its our own little town. You have to take a ferry to get to a road system that goes in there.
Anyway, I was on my way down to Seattle to pick up a car that I was going to turn into a taxi and bring it back up here. It was a two day trip thing, right. We went down on a plane and came back in the car that we bought and four or five hours before we would get to the place in the Yukon that we were gonna cross in the ferry to get back to Alaska we stopped the car at this gas station in this place called Cassiar Highway (Hwy 37). People who have made this trip know where this is. It was a desolate place. So we fuel up the vehicle. We had an extra tank. It was a police car so it had an extra tank. So we're about an hour and a half into the road again and it was just like desolate and we see this haggy old frumpy lady along the road. You know the stories you would tell about the old hag? It's that kind of thought. She's staring at our car. There is nobody else on the road. We were like... ah... she really creeped us out. Okay, now, five hours down, I swear to god, there she is again. There's no way she could have got in front of our car. There's no way she could have gotten down the road where she was. There she was again. Same exact lady. Same exact clothes and everything. Believe me, we soiled our pants. What do you think of that? What is the explanation?”

Alien Astronaut Falls From UFO, Climbs Up A Tree, Then Scrambles Back On Board Spacecraft, Santa Cruz Residents In Bolivia Claim
Residents of a neighborhood in El Dorado, a district of the city of Santa Cruz in Bolivia, have described to baffled TV news crews their encounter with a mysterious being — believed to be an alien astronaut — who fell out of a UFO spacecraft, walked around the neighborhood, and even climbed up a tree.
But when residents who heard a loud bang and a flash of light rushed out of their homes, the extraterrestrial being scrambled back on board his UFO spacecraft and disappeared.
Although some media reports claim that the incident happened in the town of El Dorado in Argentina, details of the incident by the Inexplicata Blog and YouTube clips of news reports by Notivision TV indicate that the incident occurred in the El Dorado district of the city of Santa Cruz in eastern Bolivia.

'Rendlesham UFOs were after nuclear weapons'
Aliens suspected of visiting a US air base in the UK in the 1980s may have been interested in its nuclear weapons stockpile, new researchers including an ex-police officer have claimed.
The Rendlesham mystery remains the UK's most puzzling UFO case and has been called Britain's Roswell after the infamous alleged flying saucer crashed in the New Mexico desert in July 1947.
Now, former police officer Gary Heseltine, 56, claims to have gathered new evidence which could prove aliens did visit Rendlesham in 1980 - and why.
The UK alien sighting happened when three US officers based at RAF Bentwaters claimed a "triangular shaped craft" landed in neighbouring woods in the early hours of December 26 1980.
Retired Colonel Charles Halt, 76, who was base deputy commander at the time, claimed the officers who first saw the lights, and then a UFO "on the floor", could not account for a 40 minute period while searching in the woods when their communication systems went "off air".
The three officers - John Burroughs, Bud Steffens, and James Penniston, later told of feeling "static" as they observed the object's flashing lights and hieroglyphic-like markings.

Bat Invasion Prompts State of Emergency Declaration
Batemans Bay in New South Wales has become so overrun that a state of emergency has been declared.
Bats can be unnerving at the best of times, but imagine trying to go about your business while there are scores of the notorious flying mammals covering every square inch of every surface.
This was the spectacle that confronted residents of Batemans Bay in Australia recently after more than 100,000 grey-headed flying foxes descended on the town en masse.
"I can't open the windows, I can't use the clotheslines," said local resident Danielle Smith. "It's just, I can't study because the noise just goes constantly. I can't concentrate. It's not fun."
"The bats came and they are just out of control. We just can't do anything because of them."
Bizarrely, this particular type of bat is actually considered to be an endangered species meaning that authorities are only permitted to use non-lethal methods to deal with the problem.
One such tactic has involved using smoke and loud noises to deter the bats while another has seen areas of vegetation being chopped down to force the animals to move on from the area.
