The 'Little Grey People'
Piedmont, MO - 1930-08-10: As Reported to ASD by phone (the witness is now 96 years old and seems to be very sharp): "I live outside Piedmont, Missouri on a farm that has been in the family since the 1850's. I lived there with my mother, father, grandmother, and siblings. When I was a kid, whoever was the youngest had to sleep on the sleeping porch of the house. None of us wanted to sleep there because the "little people" would visit and we were all afraid of them. I remember that my mother and grandmother told stories about the little grey people who visited the farm at night and that the stories were in the family since before the Civil War. One night in particular, when I was 10 years old, I was laying in bed on the porch and I saw a grey being with big eyes walk up to the window and look inside at me. I was frozen in fear. He just kept looking at me. The next thing I knew, there were three of them, all about 4' tall with no hair, big black eyes, small nose and mouth, and thin, standing next to my bed, and I remember thinking that I had no idea how they got inside. I was even more afraid and wanted to pull the covers up over my face but couldn't. I don't know what happened after that. The next morning I woke up and they were gone. They never appeared during the day, only at night. I never saw a craft of any type, but sometimes late at night we would hear a humming sound coming from the low depression area around the pond about 100 feet from the house, but never went to look to see what it was. I think we were afraid to. We also often saw small white balls of light in the yard and around the farm at dusk and after dusk but never knew what they were. The lights were about the size of a softball. The whole family was sure to be inside after dark and we just didn't play outside after dark - the older family members made sure we came inside and as I think back on this it must have been because of the little people who would "take" us. That is the term my mother and grandmother used - the would say that the little grey people would take us at night but always brought us back before morning. It was almost like talking about fairies or something magical that was our little secret. It was not something we spoke about to other people - we kept it to ourselves and still do to this day. I still see them sometimes, only inside the house where I sleep now. I see them come in late at night, usually around 3:00 a.m. but for some reason I just fall asleep and don't remember any interaction with them. I don't let anyone sleep on the porch, though. My children and grandchildren have also seen the grey people. We are not so afraid of them anymore, just look at them as being visitors rather than something that will harm us. I don't want any publicity or anyone to know who I am because they'll think I'm nuts, but I'm not. I may be old, but I am strong and take care of myself, and have all my faculties" - MUFON CMS

'It Landed on the Interstate'
1997 - Glorieta Pass, New Mexico.
Mark in Santa Fey, New Mexico called in with a story from his parents:
“I have witnessed a lot of things myself over the years but one story I've been itching to tell you guys is the story my father told me years after it happened. It was back in '97 and he lives over the Glorieta Pass towards Pecos New Mexico and they lived up on top of the hill and late at night, about 3 in the morning, my dad saw a very bright light outside and he got up and he woke my mother up as well and they look out over this valley and I-25 runs through this valley and he looks down there and he thought a giant jet was getting ready to land on the interstate. If you look down, he realized it was far too big to be a jet. It was half a mile or a mile across and he said that it was so staggering that he couldn't believe what he was seeing but it lit up the whole valley. As it lowered into the valley, it shot fireballs out into the ground. Then it took off. It went straight up into the air and then there were people on the interstate that had pulled off, everyone on the interstate had pulled off. My mother and father looked at each other and said we can't tell anybody about this. We can never speak of this! Just because of the ridicule factor. 1997 of all years. Just over the Glorieta Pass on I-25 heading north out of Santa Fe towards Las Vegas. Big orange fireballs. They went into the ground. Here's the thing, my dad said that he was never going to tell anyone about it that night but the next morning, it was on CNN and they were talking about it on CNN for one day and they had interviewed a pilot who had also seen it and then the government said well, there was a meteor that crashed. And the pilot of one of the airlines that saw it said, Well, it might have been a meteor but it bounced off the Earth and flew back up into the sky. They were baffled and what was really interesting...” (the line breaks up and goes dead before he can finish.)

Swarm of aggressive bees attack California town
CONCORD, Calif. -- A swarm of aggressive bees have been attacking a town in Northern California.
Despite the swatting and spraying, the bees are relentless.
"Got me right in the eye!" said Mike Malley, a Concord resident, as he was stung.
And on Hitchcock Road in Concord it seems everyone has felt their sting -- more than once.
Bees are behind the deaths of two dogs and have attacked a number of people in Northern California.
"Probably 6, 7, 8, 9, (times)" said Malley, as he was stung again. "Oh, now 10 times."
Police received the first calls about the aggressive bees on Friday. And from there, it has only gotten worse.
It's believed the insects are so-called killer bees that took over a hive of ordinary honeybees in an amateur beekeeper's backyard.
When the beekeeper removed the infiltrated hive, it left the bees with no where to go.
The insects are behind the deaths of two dogs and have attacked a number of people, including mail carrier Melissa Weisner.
"Climbing up my hair, all over my head, I was running and screaming," she said.
CBS News spoke online with professional beekeeper Norman Lott, who's helping rid the neighborhood of the bees.
He said he has never seen anything like it.
"This is a new situation that we're gonna have to deal with," he said.
Police have barred pedestrians from part of the neighborhood where most of the attacks have happened, while beekeepers work to safely remove the bees.
They're hopeful most, if not all of the bees, will be out of the neighborhood by Sunday night. - Swarm of aggressive bees attack California town
