Lake Chabot, CA UFO Encounter: Abduction / Missing Time / Implant / Cover-Up

Summer 1966 – Castro Valley, California

JD in Sacramento, California called in to tell of a whopper of story that happened back in 1966. This one has it all – aircraft carrier sized UFO, possible abduction, missing time, the Oz effect, disappearing implants and a possible landing trace cover-up/MIBs:

“In the summer of '66, we, my girlfriend and I, we were parking. This was about 11:30 or 12:00 o'clock at night. We were in Castro Valley, California up in the hills. There was an object that was flashing illuminations of red, green and blue and this is what drew our attention. We observed this object for approximately an hour and we didn't know what type of craft this was. Now what was highly unusual about this is everything I'm about to describe.

This spanned from, if you're familiar with the geographical location of Castro Valley area – it spans from the freeway to the end of, there's a lake called Lake Chabot. The city is closer in view in between where it was sitting and where we were viewing it about three miles away. Above the craft itself was a cloud layer only above it. The craft, we tried to get a measurement. My uncle is an engineer that helped design the hospital that was in between the site of the actual craft and us. The hospital is approximately ten stories high. If you turned the hospital to its side, longways, it was longer than six of those distances between one end and the other end. Now as we watched this craft, it was little red dot. It would appear on one edge of the craft and go across the base where we could see it and then it would disappear and re-appear on another end of the craft at an infrequent speed and time. So after studying this for about an hour we decided to find out the bearings of this location and we needed to go down to it. I did want to get to that location, I did want to get a better look but I didn't want to come directly underneath it so I thought I would try to drive a little closer to the side of this thing.

We drove across the freeway, which we had to get to and down past the valley boulevard to get to that specific area. And, 11 o'clock at night, in the summer-time, you have kids cruising up and down the strip in their hotrods. I used to do the same thing. But on that particular night, as we crossed the freeway, there was no cars whatsoever on the freeway, anywhere. Now this is the weekend. We drove right on up to the craft. We could actually see it above us. We drove to the edge of it but the girlfriend at that time who ended up being my wife, she was talking to me and all of a sudden there was a sound that came from inside the car. We rolled down the windows to make sure we had good air circulation. It was nothing to do with the car. She stopped in the middle of what she was saying and I couldn't wake her. But I continued driving up, closer to the end of this craft.

It was GIGANTIC but as I got closer to this craft, the car started to slow down. The engine started to slow down and I accelerated and it still kept slowing down. And then I started hearing this loud frequency emitting from the centre of the car outward. I was... I couldn't wake my girlfriend at that time. We headed on up and I almost felt like the energy from the top of my head was being drawn out... just drained. I tried to shake myself, make sure I was seeing what I was seeing, doing what I was doing and I checked the car to make sure and it was still slowing down. I couldn't believe what happened, I turned the car around. I could still see this huge craft. We head back down the hill and then all of a sudden my girlfriend woke up and was in the middle of the same conversation.

We headed back down into Castro Valley Boulevard. The craft was gone. All of a sudden everybody's cruising down on the strip, the lights are on, people are driving on the freeway as usual. Now this is the unusual part, immediately she was shocked: 'I thought we were going up, how did we turn around?' (Jimmy Church asked if he saw the craft depart) I was busy trying to keep my consciousness. And when we got back down to the road, she came instantly to. Back in her conversation when she stopped. She was like, 'What are we doing going down, we were going the other direction?'

Another thing, later that night, she couldn't sleep and I was, I was fine, but she couldn't sleep. She was agitated. She was very irritable. And she had this lump on her arm that was bulging out of her arm. Now here's what really got me. Now I got two degrees, one in engineering and one in sociology. I'm also cleared by the US Secret Service for many different things but I'm not going to go into that, but this object that was in her arm, it was long. I took a needle, I sanitized it and I pricked it with the needle and I pulled this metallic object about a quarter of an inch out of her skin. I checked it out with some tweezers and it was held together. What it looked like was a very miniature sputnik. You remember that? All these metallic hairs were still under her skin. I pulled it all out and she... she almost panicked. And it was metallic because, like I said, I had tweezers holding on to it. So what we did, we put it in an envelope and we sealed it because we had to tell my father. My father worked for NASA and he would have given us a better explanation of what had transpired.

We were very excited over this but when we woke up the very next morning, the object inside the envelope had disappeared completely. We both placed it inside the sealed envelope but when we woke up the next morning, that object wasn't there. First of all, the envelope was still sealed. We opened it up and it was gone. It was no longer inside. So about a week later, I go back to that same location and then they had the whole parking, maybe about a mile before you even get there, all closed down and there was a tracking station, I guess a satellite tracking station, very close to that location. And I went up there and asked, did anything happen that was weird or strange, over say the last couple of nights or the last couple of weeks? And then they stopped and then the manager came out and was asking me about, 'What do you mean?' He asked me for more specific information but I didn't want to admit what I had seen to him because I don't want to get involved too much with that sort of situation, but he advised me to go meet with certain authorities that was down in the South Bay, I think near Moffett Field, to tell them about that. He wrote down the information for me and, after that time, I forgot about it. But since that time I took that out of her arm, she has been the worst human being that I have ever known in my life, the most violent... now to this day she swears she never passed out. She swears that we never even got to the top of the mountain. Now me, I believe that I had gotten to the top and, before I lost consciousness, I turned the vehicle around and started driving right back down and then she woke up. So therefore if she believed that she was never up there (Church cuts him off at this point. I think he was going to say that he also wonders if even though he believes he never passed out, in reality, he, like his wife, actually did pass out but has no memory of it...ie, he and his wife were abducted by whomever was driving that craft. Church asks if there were any reports in the news around that time of the craft) Yes, they had some great big pad-marks that they were doing some research on. They fabricated a story that there was a... (can't make out the word?) up there but I saw some photographs later of the pads...some huge object must have been sitting up there in the park. There were no eyewitness testimonials of what had occurred that night. And now I've been aboard the Enterprise aircraft carrier, it was much larger than the Enterprise.”

That's quite an encounter account. I've included a few maps and other information that may help with the explanation of this incident.

I believe the witnesses may have been in the hills just south of Castro Valley (possibly in the Ward Creek area near CSU-East Bay, Hayward, CA) since it is a direct sight-line across Castro Valley to Lake Chabot and across the Eden Medical Center, I believe the hospital JD referenced (it was built in 1954 and was the tallest hospital in the area by several stories). This is a distance of approximately 4 miles.

Castro Valley, CA has had multiple sighting reports over the years...some more interesting than others:

Daily 2 Cents: A Man of Light -- Freaky 'Child Angel' Dolls Big Fad in Thailand -- Haunted Home Gets International Attention

A Man of Light

Santa Maria, CA - 8/2/2011: OK, so my friend Jorge and I were going to visit my grandmas for the weekend. She lives up in the mountains with no neighbors, roads, or closely located facilities anywhere. We were sitting in her green house late at night when I thought I noticed a shooting star outside the windowing in the roof. After focusing for a bit longer I realized what I thought was a shooting star is now still. So I dismissed it and went back to hanging out. Only after another hour I saw the "star" slowing drifting like a plane, so again I didn't pay it much attention. What caught my eye on this very clear night was the sudden downward movement of the light. Paying attention to it now the drifting progressively turned into quick movements, quick enough that the light trailed behind itself moving so fast a small + sign was in the sky. Just as soon as my amazement took over and I started to question what it could be, it dramatically stopped, then began to quickly brighten making no noise. Mind you we were on the top of a canyon so a small plane would have no business flying literally 50ft next to the small house we were in. Only then when it passes the greenhouse I could relate it to a plane in terms of noise, but the surface was pitch black, and I saw a brighten cockpit, but right after it passed no noise, lights nothing. So we say there and explained what we just saw in awe. I thought maybe we had been kind of loud cause we were slightly worried we didn't know what happened, that's when I thought my grandma was coming to check on us which was odd. The light I saw wasnt on the small dirt road but approaching up an almost vertical incline horizontal to it. What I saw then has made me question my existence as an individual, because I saw a outline of a person made of light. Imagine a normal weighted man, but his outline was a culmination of colors but I could see through the center of it. That and when it walked it left almost copies or like a slinky stretching of fading images in the previous stance of its walk. Only to continue across the path,up another sheer face of 20 ft, and disappear into one giant flash. I checked the ground no footprints or any sign of evidence that something was there, even were the light brighten and the event ended, I went and check to find a few bushes nothing more. As this went on though I felt privileged to see this. My grandma is the only other person to have seen anything strange before too just as a side note. - MUFON CMS

Freaky 'Child Angel' Dolls Big Fad in Thailand

Here's a video...weird haunted baby dolls...cost about $500US each

A Thai airline will allow passengers to purchase seats for life-like dolls that their owners treat as real children due to their belief that they possess supernatural powers.

Thai Smile Airways, which is a part of national carrier Thai Airways International, said in an internal memo that dolls with tickets will be served snacks and drinks, though they will be barred from sitting in exit rows. Owners who take dolls on the plane without tickets will have them treated as carry-on luggage.

The dolls known as Luk Thep, or Child Angels, have become increasingly popular in Thailand after several celebrities extolled their benefits. The dolls, which can sell for hundreds of dollars, are thought to possess the spirits of child angels and their owners pamper them with brand-name clothes and accessories due to the belief that a well-cared-for doll will bring good fortune.

The memo from Thai Smile explains to staff that the Luk Thep dolls can be treated like children because they have undergone a "spiritualisation" process that breathes life into them. In addition to being barred from exit rows, the dolls must also buckle up during take off and landing.

A Bangkok buffet restaurant is also running a special for the dolls.

"In the past month, more than 30 customers have brought their Luk Thep to eat at Neta Grill," the restaurant said on its Facebook page Sunday. "Neta Grill is open to all worshipers (sic) and we're glad to serve Luk Thep at children's prices on the condition that all of the food ordered is consumed." - 'Supernatural' dolls are treated like people on Thai Smile Airways

Haunted Home Gets International Attention

BOTHELL — A Western Washington home is getting international attention now that a pair of scientists from England have flown in to collect and examine unexplained phenomenon.

Keith Linder said he noticed strange things happening on the first day he moved into his Bothell home.

He constantly hears noises. Objects have been moved. Someone, or something, has even left threatening messages on his walls.

Linder said, “If they throw an object then it’s going to be a series of two weeks of objects being thrown. Then the objects get heavier.”

Linder has lived in the home for four years. He has invited a number of religious leaders over to perform cleansing ceremonies. He says they work for a couple days and the spirits keep coming back.

Now, a team of scientists from England is at his home. They brought an arsenal of ghost hunting gadgets and will collect a lot of data during a week long stay.

Linder said he just wants to know the ‘why’. He has no plans of moving, yet.

“I’ve always was raised knowing there are spirits that wander in and out,” Linder said. “I’m here. You’re here. Let’s all live together.” - Haunted house in Western Washington gets international attention

NOTE: sounds like a strong malevolent earthbound entity that refuses to leave the location. Doubtful if it's a poltergeist under the circumstances. It's able to collect additional energy for some reason...that source is what they need to concentrate on finding. Cleansing ceremonies by clergy are just going to piss it off, causing more frustration...allowing it to gain more energy. These type of spirits are very difficult to move into the next realm. It usually requires less-conventional weakening and removal rituals...Lon

Arcane Radio Presents: Jay Bachochin - Founder, 'WPI Hunts The Truth'

This week we welcome our friend and colleague...'truthologist' Jay Bachochin to Arcane Radio.

I've been interested in the paranormal, pretty much since I was old enough to hold an interest. I was raised on Creature Features back in the early 70's. I just loved "anything" that was supernatural. It wasn't until 1979 when I witnessed something paranormal first hand and saw the most amazing display of a well lit flying object above our heads in my hometown of Lindenhurst, IL. What did my brother, sister and my mom see that night? We could all say it was a UFO, but until this day .... we still can't explain what we saw. However, it was fascinating to watch these lights move in the night sky over a total of :20 minutes.

Throughout my life I have experienced many different types of paranormal activity. Not all ghostly experiences but 'odd' to say the least. I've experienced a 5 second black-out when I was 8 years old. The black-out didn't only happen to me at that time, but also the friend I was with at the time. This 5 second black-out was the most bizarre thing I can recall from childhood. How can 2 people share the same black-out?

I've witnessed many different unidentified flying objects near my hometown and my current residence over the years. Only if they had smart phones back in the day where I could get that evidence everybody talks about.

Finally, during some investigating I have experienced what some people would call a ghost. Not sure if it was a deceased person's spirit running through my body, or if there is something natural that we don't comprehend. Whatever it was .... charged me with static electricity, made every hair on my body stand as tall as the Redwood National Forest yet was as cold as ice.

I believe that we are not alone in our universe: another race of alien beings? a greater force beyond comprehension? worm-holes? time scapes? parallel universes? Bottom line is I like to THINK-OUTSIDE-THE-BOX.

Maybe it's my faith in God knowing that anything and everything is possible?

I am not a ghost hunter, ufologist, or a cryptozoologist ... I am a Truthologist (one that seeks the truth of anything paranormal).

'He turned into a tree..!'

One interesting tidbit that I have noticed over the many years I have researched the strange and unusual is that military facilities and engagements experience a wide variety of paranormal phenomena. But the following account is just plain weird.

Tim in Kentucky called Coast to Coast AM to tell of something bizarre that he experienced while serving in the military:

“One time, back when I was in the Army, I was out in Fort Hood (TX) doing maneuvers and I was the lucky one with radio watch that particular night. So I'm sitting there doing my little hour-long shift and we've got the ranchers there. They've got the cattle range on the land and they would eat the grass. Well, one of them came up into our area of operation. And, you know, he had his little whip and so I was kind of talking to him because I was bored, you know. There wasn't much else going on and he didn't speak any English and my Spanish is really bad so I was like great, I can practice and that will help me stay awake.

And so we were sitting there talking for awhile. It got to the end of my shift and I had to wake the next guy up. The farmer's not supposed to be there so I'm like, 'Hey man, you gotta go' and he wouldn't leave. Finally I was like, 'No, man, you gotta git, I gotta get the next guy up.' So I reach over to grab hold of him and....he turned into a bush. He really did. He just turned into a tree. I mean it was like, you know South Texas is with the trees? And he just turned into a tree. I... I... That tree wasn't there when we set up. He was gone. He just turned into a tree. I was like, 'Oh my god!' and, you know, I got the next guy up because it was his time and he was talking about, 'Why did we put our camp right here with this tree in the middle?' I mean, I tell you what... it was just like a little shrub, like it had just grown over night or something. It stood about 5 or 6 feet. Just weird.”

Nine Human Skulls Found In Compton Santeria Store

The magic of Southern California strip malls is that though they fall into somewhat predictable archetypes of nail spots, weed stores, and Middle Eastern food joints, ultimately you never know what you're going to find.

Like on Friday, in Compton, when somebody called the L.A. County Sheriff's Department to investigate claims of animal cruelty at a storefront Santeria religious institution on Long Beach Boulevard, according ABC 7. Once there, Sheriff's Deputies discovered what they believed were nine human skulls.

To investigate further, the Sheriff's department called in the L.A. County Coroner's department. Coroner's investigators found several other bones along with the skulls, though they were unable to immediately determine whether or not they were animal or human in origin.

Possessing skeletal human remains is legal in California, though it can be challenging to navigate through the state's health-and safety bureaucracy to do so. The job of the Sheriff' and Coroner's departments is to now determine if the bones actually are human, and if they are, whether or not the Santeria store legally obtained them.

"There is nothing sinister here," said Sheriff's Homicide Capt. Steve Katz to the Los Angeles Times. "The skull and possible eight other skulls in vessels were being used in Santeria. The question is were the skeletal remains acquired appropriately."

Santeria is a Caribbean religion said to have originated with the West African Yoruba people, and was transmitted across the Atlantic through the slave trade. There, the religion mingled with Catholicism until it became the mix that it is today.

At this particular Compton location, spiritual advisors dressed in all white during ceremonies, and pontificated they could cast away negative energy bonded to ceremony participants.

Sometimes the ceremonies involved the sacrifice of live chicken or goat, leading to original animal cruelty call.
Like we said, you never know what you'll find in your average, unassuming strip mall. - Nine Assumed Human Skulls Found In Compton Santeria Store

Djinn Blamed For Fires in Egypt

A village in northern Egypt has been gripped by panic after dozens of houses were burnt in a series of mysterious fires.

A police investigation is still under way, but villagers believe the cause of the fire is supernatural, started by "djinn" - mythological evil spirits.

Several families in Mina Safour have abandoned their homes and are staying in the streets over fears that they could be the next victims.

'Ancient Aliens' Exploring the Adena Civilization Mounds

I found the following article in the Charleston (WV) Gazette-Mail...which piqued my interest:

The mound at Shawnee Park, next to the clubhouse, is one of dozens built centuries ago by the Adena civilization.

The Indian burial mounds in Kanawha County have seen the full course of archaeological research. They have been documented, excavated and studied.

But to date, they’ve never been explored by a ground-penetrating radar camera.

The makers of “Ancient Aliens,” a television show on The History Channel, are planning to change that.

The show will be coming to Dunbar on Jan. 29 to explore the historic mound, sometimes known as the “Poorhouse mound,” in Shawnee Park.

Jeff Hutchinson, director of the Kanawha County Parks and Recreation Commission, and Dunbar Mayor Terry Greenlee are working to accommodate the show. They hope that it will bring some positive attention to the mounds.

“I’m hoping it’s more of a history thing than a mockery,” Greenlee said. “I guess we’ll find out.”

The show has a history of making dubious claims about historical events and artifacts. It is not known what claim, if any, they plan to make about the Dunbar mound.

But based on the name of the show and an idea of what it’s about, retired archaeologist Darla Spencer, who lives in Charleston, is wary.

“When they did the excavating in the 1880s they thought the Native Americans were not capable of this,” Spencer said. “To me, this is a step backward.”

Joe Candillo, who has a PhD in indigenous studies and is a member of the Pascua Yaqui tribe, agreed.

“This fantasy, this idea that aliens came to this planet and showed indigenous people how to construct mounds, it is far-fetched,” Candillo said.

Candillo said that there was a myth about the star people in his tribe and in many tribes of the southwest, but that the claim that aliens built the mounds is associated with the idea that Native Americans weren’t intelligent enough to construct them on their own.

The Shawnee Park mound was one of 50 earthen mounds in the Kanawha Valley and was built by people from the Adena culture. Only a few of those mounds still remain.

While there isn’t much known about the tribe’s religious thoughts or rituals, archaeologists believe that the people who were buried in the mounds were people of status.

“They obviously honored these people to go through so much trouble to preserve them,” Spencer said.

In the Shawnee Park mound, scientists from the Smithsonian found two skeletons facing each other in a sitting position. One of the skeletons was wearing two copper bracelets, and the other had a lance blade and celt, a kind of ax. Between them was a stone slab that had been burned. The skeletons were found 10 feet below the top of the mound.

Representatives from “Ancient Aliens” were not available for comment last week about why they were interested in the Shawnee Park mound. South Charleston Mayor Frank Mullens said his city has not been contacted by the show about the better-known Criel Mound there.

People from “Ancient Aliens” can look at the mound with their camera, but can’t excavate it. In order to excavate a burial mound, not only does one need permission from the state, but also from Native American groups.

And it is usually hard to get permission from Native Americans.

“It’s almost like cutting an embryo out of a mother’s womb,” Candillo said.

“You are always taught to respect and rely on the ancestors, and disturbing their bodies at rest is highly disrespectful.”

Archaeologist Bob Maslowski of Marshall University flatly dismissed any chance that aliens had anything to do with the mounds.

“No chance at all,” Maslowski said. “It’s cult archaeology. Some of that stuff has been officially dismissed and a lot of professional archaeologists don’t want to talk about it because it’s so out there.”

Some of the artifacts that were found in the Adena mounds indicate that the Kanawha Valley was included in trade routes with other tribes.

Spencer said it’s important to learn about the native people who once lived here and what they were capable of. She said that when she was in school, they were taught that Native Americans didn’t live here.

“I grew up thinking that no Indian people lived here and now we know differently,” Spencer said. “People deserve to know the rich history of the people who were here before the Europeans.”

Academia loves to make a hit on shows like 'Ancient Aliens'...let alone any non-conformist theory that doesn't align with their scientific dogma.

The Kanawha Valley has had it share of mysteries...let alone the phenomena associated with neighboring Mason County, ex. the Mothman, upright canine sightings (Dogman), Sheep Squatch, Bigfoot, UFOs, etc. This entire part of West Virginia is considered a 'hot spot' by many crypto researchers. The fact that 'Ancient Aliens' is investigating the local mounds may result in some interesting conclusions.

The 1914 West Virginia Geological Survey, contains a section of the Fifth Annual Report of the Smithsonian (1888, for years 1883-1884), written by Cyrus Thomas describing the only archaeological excavation of the mounds, conducted by Prof. Thomas and Col. P. W. Norris:

Mound 31 of this group seems to furnish a connecting link between the West Virginia and Ohio mounds. It is sharp in outline, has a steep slope, and is flattened on the top; is 318 feet in circumference at the base and about 25 feet high. It was opened by digging a shaft 10 feet in diameter from the center of the top to the base. After passing through the top layer of surface soil, some 2 feet thick, a layer of clay and ashes 1 foot thick was encountered. Here, near the center of the shaft, were two skeletons, lying horizontally, one immediately over the other, the upper and larger one with the face down and the lower one with face up. There were no indications of fire about them. Immediately over the heads were one celt and three lance-heads. At the depth of 13 feet and a little north of the center of the mound were two very large skeletons, in a sitting posture, with their extended legs interlocked to the knees. Their arms were extended and their hands slightly elevated, as if together holding up a sandstone mortar which was between their faces. This stone is somewhat hemispherical, about 2 feet in diameter across the top, which is hollowed in the shape of a shallow basin or mortar. It had been subjected to the action of fire until burned to a bright red. The cavity was filled with white ashes, containing small fragments of bones burned to cinders. Immediately over this, and of sufficient size to cover it, was a slab of bluish-gray limestone about 3 inches thick, which had small cup-shaped excavations on the under side. This bore no marks of fire. Near the hands of the eastern skeleton were a small hematite celt and a lance-head, and upon the left wrist of the other two copper bracelets. At the depth of 25 feet, and on the natural surface, was found what in an Ohio mound would have been designated an ‘Altar.’

19th and early 20th century newspapers often published stories of gigantic skeletons found throughout the country. The following report from Portsmouth, Ohio was run by the News Herald on January 3, 1895:

“Bridge carpenters on the N. & W. R. R. found a gigantic skeleton while excavating, three miles east of Portsmouth, a few days ago. The skeleton measured, 7 feet, 4 inches...”

In the 1880s, the Eastern Mound Division of the Smithsonian discovered a number of gigantic skeletons during their inexcusable destruction of historical North American sites. The 12th Annual Report of the Bureau of Ethnology documents numerous gigantic skeletons found by Smithsonian agents:

“Near the original surface (of the mound)… lying at full length upon its back, was one of the largest skeletons discovered by the Bureau agents, the length as proved by actual measurement being between 7 and 8 feet.”

“In the center (of mound 11), 3 feet below the surface, was a vault 8 feet long and 3 feet wide. In the bottom of this...lay a skeleton fully 7 feet long...”

“The length from the base of the skull to the bones of the toes was found to be 7 feet 3 inches. It is probable, therefore, that this individual when living was 7.5 feet high.”

Is 'Ancient Aliens' looking for giant beings associated with legends of the indigenous people? Are extraterrestrials a part of the Adena mounds lore? We'll just have to wait and see. Lon
