Aliens Floating Down From Glowing Ship
Saginaw, MI - 1959-09-01 - 8:00PM: I was 4 years old (1959) My mother had put me to bed. Suddenly my bedroom was filled with a bright light. I got up on my knees to look out the window. There were beings floating down from a glowing ship. They were landing in a field across the road from our home. I couldn't figure out how they were floating down so I assumed they were standing on swings (I was 4 I didn't understand how they were floating). The beings were small and I assumed they were children. I heard a noise and assumed it was my mom so I quickly laid down. The next thing I remember is waking in the morning.
In the morning I quickly dressed and was trying to get out the front door. My mom wanted to know where I thought I was going. I said I was going across the street to play with the children. My mom opened the door and pointed to the empty field and said no children lived out there! (We lived in a very rural area) I explained what had happened that night. My mom laughed and said I was dreaming.
This encounter was never spoken of again. Eventually I had forgotten about the whole thing. I walked into my mom's house in the 80's and my mother was telling her friend how I had witnessed aliens landing from a space ship. I called her into the kitchen and asked why she would tell people about that event. I didn't want people to think I was crazy. My mom said that her friend had seen them too.
I've never told anyone but my mom about this. It's taken me a long time to even admit it happened. I don't know why. I was watching Ancient Aliens one night and your show came on after it and I was thinking "wow! I'm not the only one". - MUFON CMS

'Frogman' in the Closet
Jana Mckenon wrote in to tell of her bizarre encounter with a 'Frogman'. For those not in the know, Darkness Radio receives a large number of bizarre stories involving encounters with Frog-like entities. At first, Dave Schrader, the host, thought it was just some crazy guy telling a story but over the years he has received numerous accounts of frog beings and he no longer dismisses them. “When I was four my bedroom was moved to the first floor, right by the basement of our house in Annandale, Minnesota because I always sang myself to sleep which was distracting to my brothers and folks. I used singing to calm myself as I was very hyperactive and stressed out child. One night I looked toward my open closet door and saw a huge frog wearing a party hat peering at me. I closed the door each night because the closet scared me. Unlike the fearful stories that others have told, that night the frog did everything to make me laugh and feel comforted because I was so cared to be alone on the first floor. It did tricks and made funny faces, which made me laugh and laugh. It was such a comfort. The next morning my parents expressed their deep disapproval about the laughter and told me I had an over-active imagination. When I told them about the frog in my closet, I got in trouble again but the feeling of joy never left me and I'm now around your age Dave.”

Death by Condoms
The 29-year-old from Münster was hit by a steel shard from the condom dispenser which was positioned on a quiet street, local police disclosed on Monday.
Along with two friends, aged 27 and 29, the man had attached a homemade explosive device to the machine in an apparent attempt to get at the goods and money inside.
But he was unable to make it to safety in time, with the door of his car still open as the device detonated. The shard of metal then struck him in the head, leaving him unconscious.
His two accomplices took the man to hospital but he died of his wounds shortly afterwards.
At first the men claimed their friend had injured himself after falling down the stairs, before one later admitted to the connection to the exploded machine.
Police confirmed that the men did not take the money or condoms which had been set loose by the explosion. After being alerted by local residents, officers found the contents of the machine scattered on the street in front of it.

Ewwww...Corpse Flower
A particularly unusual and foul-smelling flower is known to bloom only once every 1,000 days.
Native only to the rainforests of Sumatra, Amorphophallus titanum is something of a botanical oddity due to its sporadic flowering behavior and its extremely strong smell of rotting flesh.
Known as the 'Corpse Flower', the plant has proven to be a popular attraction at the Mount Lofty Botanic Garden near Adelaide where visitors have been queuing up to see the six-foot plant in bloom - something that occurs only once every three years and lasts only a matter of hours.
One of the staff, Matt Coulter, described the stench as being like that of a "dead animal".
"When I opened the glasshouse this morning it almost blew me away it is so strong," he said.
"I almost had to stop myself from throwing up it was so bad. Until you have actually experienced it, it is the first time I've actually smelt it; it's like nothing else."
One visitor described the smell as "like a rubbish bin" while others thought it smelled like "cooked broccoli that had gone off in the fridge" and even "a smelly bag of rotten fish." - Thousands queue in Australia to smell flesh-odoured corpse flower which blooms every 1000 days
