Daily 2 Cents: Reptilian at Bedroom Door -- Two Weird Encounters -- Thousands of Cownose Rays
Reptilian at Bedroom Door
Knoxville - August 2008: Have seen a number of UFOs over the past 50 years. Have also had the misfortune to see a few of the beings that apparently go along with them. In August of 2008 I encountered a being unlike I had ever seen before.
Was late in the afternoon, I was in the kitchen getting a soda when I looked up and out into the hallway, in the open bedroom door was an entity that literally made my heart skip a beat. It was a little taller than I am, looked to be a reptile of some sort, had bright yellow eyes with vertical pupils. It was wearing what appeared to be a one piece dark blue jumpsuit. There was some kind of insignia on the lower arm. I could not take my eyes away from its eyes. It seemed to have an expression of disdain or disgust or possibly anger; hard to tell but it did not give off a good feeling.
We were maybe 8 ft. apart and just continued to stare at one another. I finally lowered my head and closed my eyes and when I looked up it was gone. Needless to say, I slept with most of the lights on that night. This was not a pleasant experience. - MUFON CMS

Two Weird Encounters
November 2013 – Cripple Creek, Colorado
Dray, a female friend of Dave Schrader's from Los Angeles, called in to talk about an event that happened back in November 2013 when they had gathered at a restaurant at Cripple Creek in Colorado.
“So we had all gone out for dinner. We were at the restaurant at the end of third at the opposite end of St. Nicholas hotel and we had all gone inside. We had gone in to have dinner and we had sat down at the table. I realized I had forgotten my phone in the car in the parking lot across the street and I was like, Oh, my god, my phone is in the seat, I need to go over and get it because I wanted to phone and get some tickets. So, I went across the street and got my phone and when I was headed back across the street, there were these lights in the sky. There were these five lights and they were kind of in the shape of the Little Dipper and I know everybody out there is going, Well, it's the little dipper. No! No! No! If you were a sky-watcher, you'd know the Little Dipper. They were kind of in the shape of that and they were holding completely still. I looked up at them and there was a weird feeling, like you just know there's something unusual. I'm not saying it's aliens, I guess, but UFOs... and I thought, I need to take a picture. So I looked down at the phone I’d just gotten and as I’m looking at the phone and trying to pull out the camera, I had the thought, What am I doing? Like I completely forgot what I was doing. I knew I was looking at the camera but I kinda forgot why and, so I open up the camera, and I look up and I realize, Oh, my god, that's right, I’m gonna take a picture of this. It took all my might to take a picture of this, it was just like I kept wanting to forget it. I took two photographs and I will send them to you. When I took the first photograph, they stayed in formation like the Little Dipper and when I took the second one, they started moving east to west. This is looking up 3rd Street towards the St. Nicholas Hotel. Then I took the two photographs and I knew it was something strange and there was no sound whatsoever and, you know, it's a small town, yes, but there's a lot of gambling, casinos right there but there was no sound. I walked back inside and, by the time I got back inside, I completely forgot and I didn't tell any of you guys. I mean, I had my best-friend sitting at a table and I told nobody that I had just seen UFOs outside. I mean, I don't even know what to say. So I got home and I looked at my phone and I thought I saw these lights... Oh, my god, I had this weird encounter. I completely forgot. It is a creepy, weird feeling. Every-time I look at the photos, I get 'Forget! Forget! Just forget!' like confusion... It's like, nothing's telling me to forget. I don't hear the words Forget but kind of like that feeling of Just forget! Just forget!
She further related another similar experience she had although the experience might have a more conventional explanation.
No date given – Death Valley, Eastern California, USA
“I was in Death Valley with a girlfriend of mine and we were driving down the street and this was back when the Ipod was still that the little disk you rub your finger around in a circle, and she's looking at it and she said, 'Something's wrong with my Ipod'. She used to be a math genius and she was like, 'This shouldn't be doing this' and, on he screen was like, um, how televisions used to go sideways sometimes and she said I've never seen an Ipod doing this and I'm driving and she was in the passenger seat and she said, Would you pull over, I don't feel very good.' So, I said, 'You know, I feel kind of queasy too.' So we pull over in the middle of Death Valley and we're kind of up high on a ridge looking down into a valley and we get out of the car and we both feel kind of queasy and then all of a sudden there was no sound, to the point where, when I talked to her, we couldn't hear each other. Then this aircraft, it was in the daytime, came by really low and it was making no sound whatsoever. It looked like a plane that had a CD shoved through it. Meaning, like, it didn't have wings. It had like two half circles on the side of it but a plane in the middle. And it went past us and it got far enough away we could no longer see it because Death Valley's huge. Then the sound came back and we were no longer queasy. I have a friend that I work with who said, 'I know of a military vehicle that can make you queasy and take away all sound and sometimes it messes with people's memories,' so then at Cripple Creek, I was like, Was that what these things were they were hovering? They were being complexity still until they moved west.”

Thousands of Cownose Rays
MARCO ISLAND, Fla. - Thousands of cownose rays flocked to Marco Island over the weekend, causing quite a spectacle in the waters surrounding the Pelican Pier, not far from the Jolley Bridge. For Mike Smith, a new resident on Marco, it was a perfect opportunity to capture great footage of the migrating rays with his drone camera.
"I didn't even know what to expect when we got down there," Smith said. "It was something amazing, I'd never seen it before."
The massive school of cownose rays had been hanging around since Saturday. Chris Hadraba, owner of the Pelican Pier, said his employee Kaylee Crisp used a GoPro camera to get video from a different perspective.
"She got a GoPro, put it under the water, and was able to get some great footage of them swimming together," Hadraba said. "It almost looks like you could have walked across the water."
On Sunday, beachgoer Brad Whitlow captured video of a large pack of sharks right off of a beach in the panhandle, only yards away from where his kids had been playing in the water. But the sharks seemed to be chasing bait fish that were trying to escape in the shallows.
"Absolutely normal," said Mike Bauer, Natural Resources Manager for the City of Naples. "They'll follow bait, and someone will catch them when they get in a school of bait and see a feeding frenzy."
Bauer said that like the shark feeding frenzy, the huge gang of cownose rays is perfectly natural.
"They'll migrate to the south in the winter time, and then move back north in the spring," he said.
The cownose rays had already moved farther south by Tuesday. - Thousands of cownose rays caught on drone video near Marco

House Cat Kills Deadly Snake After Owner Bitten
A woman from north Queensland, Australia, is recovering in hospital after being bitten by a deadly red-bellied black snake that was hiding under a garden hose. Denise Thynne was gardening at her home in Mirani, west of Mackay, when she was bitten on Monday morning. "I walked out to the yard to pick up the hose to water the roses. There was a little snake laying under the hose that I didn't see," she said. "It was laying there in the sun, I didn't take any notice until I felt the sting."
Her cat Skitzo rushed to her aid, attacking and killing the reptile. "She came out stalking and it looked like she was mesmerising it and then she just went in for the kill," Ms Thynne said. "I turned the snake over and saw the red belly and thought 'oh that's not a very friendly one'." The 66-year-old's hand started to hurt and she was taken to the Mackay Base Hospital, but she is expected to be released this morning after it was found the snake did not inject her with poison.
Ms Thynne said she was well versed in what to do, as it was the fourth time she had been bitten by a snake. "I'm a bit of a pro at this snake business," she said. "My mum always said it'll be a snake that kills me, so yeah, I'm not really planning on one [a fifth experience], but who knows. Just be careful, and wear your glasses when you go outside, that helps." Ms Thynne said her experience had taught her that if you were bitten by a snake you should "definitely not panic".
"If it's a real deadly looking one, sit under a tree with a cigarette, with a cup of tea and pray, but yeah wrap it up and hope." Emergency doctor Neale Thornton said it was important to stay calm and call triple-0 if you were bitten. "No panic, no running around, just get to a phone, call the ambulance, first aid measures is what they call it," he said. "Pressure, immobilisation bandage, if you've got the right kit, and you know how to do it, do it. If you see a snake minding its own business in the bush, just leave it alone, don't play with it, even if you think it's a non-poisonous one."

Ghost Hunting is the New Celebrity Hobby
Looks like novice Ghostbuster Selena Gomez's documented fascination with paranormal activity has encouraged other celebrities to be more open about their desire to commune with the otherworld.
In an interview with Dazed, singer Tinashe also claims an interest in seeking out the spirits that exist all around us:
“Wanna see my ghost hunting photos?” she asks.
“Of course,” I say.
Within seconds, she opens a folder on her iPhone, revealing photos taken at a 13th-century French castle where she captured images of mysterious orbs – reputed in folklore to be angels or pure spiritual energy – and broadcast them to her thousands of fans on Snapchat. The supernatural, it turns out, is a bit of a fixation for Tinashe. We conspire over this unlikely mutual interest, musing over what it all means. We agree that, when it comes to this – and most anything else – possibilities are more interesting than proof. “It’s just a lot of fun to think about!” she concludes.
Spooky, scary, and so on-trend. If one more famous person admits to tracking spirits, we'll have to add "ghost hunting" to the list of "just like us" celebrity hobbies like working out or eating one square of dark chocolate after a meal. - Is Ghost Hunting Officially a Celebrity Trend?
