Daily 2 Cents: Radio Host Shares Bizarre Encounters -- Bones Returned to Mysterious Rosslyn Chapel -- 5-Year-Old Savant Genius Also Telepathic

Radio Host Shares Bizarre Encounters

1981 – Dublin

Thomas Sheridan hosts Velocity Now, a UK based radio show. He discusses mostly politics and conspiracy theories. It also sometimes veers into the paranormal. Talking to guest Adam (GTG), Sheridan decided to talk about his own bizarre experience that happened when he was 16 or 17 years old, back in 1981, as he biked home from work one night. His is a triple whammy of weirdness including a ghostly woman, a giant slow-moving owl and a crazed ape-like creature.

“When I was 17 or 16, I was working in a restaurant in Dublin. I was washing dishes because it was a part time job. I would work late into the evening and get off at 1 in the morning and then I would cycle a couple of miles home. It was perfectly safe back then. Well, I was cycling along. I had left the building that I was in and I suddenly felt as though I'd entered into an altered state of consciousness. I can't explain it, it was like I was in a dream... but I was awake. I was still going home from my job but I felt like I was in a movie. I was walking down the street with my bicycle and I looked at this woman. This woman stared at me from this second floor window in a very sort of strange way... she looked like a ghost or something. I thought that was freaky so I started cycling. I was going down the road and in front of me, this enormous white owl flies in my path, but its wings were beating so slowly there's no way those wings could have kept it air-borne, you know what I mean? The wings were going too slowly. And that was the first time I ever seen an owl in my life. This thing was enormous and it was white. And it flew slowly in front of me into a park. Then I get home, okay, and I fall asleep, still feeling this sense of altered state of consciousness. I wake up in the morning. The sun was risen about 5 or 6 am and I look around behind me and I had the sensation that there was someone else in the room. In the corner of the room there was what looked like a monkey. Now a monkey or an ape or a midget or something? With hairy fingers. This thing, as soon as I made eye contact... It was standing in the room looking around as if it was trying to figure out where it was, trying to make sense of its location. But as soon as I made eye contact with this thing, it was almost like it locked onto the target and knew where it was. It jumped across the room and landed on my back and started pounding on my back, sticking its fingers into my mouth. I could taste the sweat and I could feel the hair on its fingers. Well, I screamed and I got the thing and I threw it off. Then I got up and I fainted... and when I woke up, everything was normal again. I didn't have that sense of being somewhere else.”

He added that the creature he saw looked exactly like a monster depicted in a Swiss painting he once observed years later and wondered if the artist had seen the same creature he did.

Corpse Found in Cigar Box

From the Mount Carmel PA Daily News, June 8, 1893:

Ghastly Discovery!

A Corpse Found in a Large Cigar Box- The Police Investigating

Last evening a Hungarian resident of Mt. Carmel was digging a garden when his attention was attracted to a peculiarly sloped pile of dirt near the end of the lot. On top of the pile was a large flat stone.

The ground had been newly-turned and the curious Hungarian at once proceeded to dig at it. Finally he excavated enough to uncover and cigar-box of the long kind. Thinking that some one had buried a lot of money the man eagerly pried open the cover and glanced into the box.

He started back in horror. Instead of a pile of glittering gold lay the remains of a newly born infant. The Hungarian ran down town and notified the authorities. Squire Amour, Constable Herb and Robert Wilson of the News hurried to the spot and when the latter reached into the hole and extracted the box, the three men subjected the contents to rigorous examination.

No evidence could be secured leading to the identity of the infant. The neighbors were closely interrogated but could give no tangible information. At last the authorities turned the remains over to the poor authorities.

Human remains reinterred in Rosslyn Chapel grounds

Human remains, which were uncovered inside Rosslyn Chapel, during recent conservation work, have been reinterred in the Chapel grounds. Articulated skeletal remains were uncovered when work was undertaken to renew the heating system, requiring the removal of floor slabs and a small amount of excavation. Remains of three skeletons were exposed inside the Chapel. A number of discrete ground impacts were also monitored in the Chapel Precinct and a small amount of disturbed bone was recovered.

The radiocarbon dating of two adult skeletons interred within the Chapel indicates that the burials dated to the mid-15th century, around the time of the construction of the building. It is possible that these were individuals of some status associated with the earliest period of the Chapel and buried in a high status location within the Chapel. The skeletal remains suggest both were male and that at least one of the individuals had undertaken heavy or repetitive physical activity, with well-developed bone surfaces at the sites of muscle insertions.

The heads of the skeletons found inside the Chapel were positioned to the west with the feet to the east, indicative of normal medieval Christian practice, whereby on the Day of Judgment, the dead could arise to face the rising sun. It was common for members of the clergy to have the opposite alignment with the head to the east, so that on the Day of Judgment they would arise to face their congregation. This would suggest the burials are not of the clergy.

Analysis of the remains of the skeleton found in the Chapel Precinct shows that it dated to between the 15th and 17th centuries. Similarly, the skeletal remains of this adult male appear to indicate that he had undertaken physical activity.

The archaeology and analysis were managed on behalf of Rosslyn Chapel Trust by AOC Archaeology group, of Loanhead, Midlothian. Archaeologists prepared the bones for reburial in accordance with guidelines set by Historic Environment Scotland.

Lindsay Dunbar, Fieldwork Project Manager, AOC Archaeology Group, said: ‘Opportunities to work at such a world famous and iconic monument as Rosslyn Chapel come along rarely so it was with great anticipation that AOC undertook the archaeological monitoring during the construction of the new visitor centre and works at the Chapel. The discovery of both disturbed and in situ burials was especially exciting given the limited amount of excavation necessary within the chapel to complete the conservation works. AOC was allowed ample time to complete the full excavation of the burials and the good preservation of the human bone allowed full osteoarchaeological analysis to be completed. Whilst it is unlikely that the burials represent the clergy it is clear that to occupy such a space within such a small chapel means that these burials are of people important to the chapel.’

Ian Gardner, Director of Rosslyn Chapel Trust, said: ‘The analysis provides valuable information about the age of the remains but, inevitably, questions remain unanswered about the identity of these men and their roles here. Today’s ceremony to reinter the remains was simple but a very fitting way to return them to Rosslyn Chapel.’

Rosslyn Chapel, in Midlothian, was founded in 1446 by Sir William St Clair and remained unfinished when he died in 1484. The Chapel is a popular visitor destination and remains a working church, as part of the Scottish Episcopal Church. - Human remains reinterred in Rosslyn Chapel grounds

5-Year-Old Savant Genius Also Telepathic

5-year-old Ramses Sanguino has allegedly developed the ability to read numbers from his mother's mind.

The autistic child genius, who despite his young age has been learning seven different languages and is capable of solving complex algebraic equations, has exhibited mental abilities so advanced that there are now indications that he may even be able to perform telepathy.

Most notable among his skills is his ability to correctly determine which numbers his mother has been writing down in secret - sometimes successfully guessing as many as 38 of them in a row.

"We do have a very close bond which may have something to do with his abilities - but this is beyond anything I would have imagined," she said. "I don’t know how to explain it." Read more at 5-Year-Old Mental Giant Is Also Telepathic, Mom Claims
