Daily 2 Cents: Possible 'Jersey Devil' Encounter / Missing Time -- Alien Implant From India -- Crystals Can Store Data

Possible 'Jersey Devil' Encounter / Missing Time

No date given – Pine Barrens, Southern New Jersey

Dave Schrader asked Chuck, a truck driver from Oklahoma, who called in previously to tell about how he observed strange red eyes while at some scales in Missouri, if he ever had any strange time experiences. Apparently other truckers have called in previously to Darkness Radio talking about bizarre time experiences, so Dave was curious.

“Actually I did, doing a Jersey Devil hunt in New Jersey. I entered the woods, you know, I was young and dumb and thought I knew it all. I lived alone. So, I felt like I was only in there for about an hour and this was about 9 or 10 o'clock at night and so I started seeing something strange and I got excited so, I started thinking, Here we go, I'm probably gonna see good old J.D. (Jersey Devil) and next thing I knew, it was five o'clock in the morning. I'm freaking out because, you know, I don't know where I'm at. I know I'm in the woods. I know I'm in the Pine Barrens. I know it's gonna take me an hour to get home. But that was the only time I ever had any time lapse, I guess. I kinda decided to leave that one alone.” (Editors note: It sounds like an unexplored possible alien abduction experience with regards to the missing time aspect, his lack of memory of what he encountered and his wish to not examine it further.)

Crystals can store data for eons

A crystal-based storage mechanism has been developed that can store data for millions of years.

Created by researchers at Southampton University, the futuristic memory crystal is able to store data in five dimensions - the three standard spatial dimensions plus two that exist in the crystal lattice.

Data is written to the crystal, which is comprised of fused quartz, using a special high-speed laser.

Any information written to it is expected to have a lifespan of over one million years due to how incredibly resilient the crystal is. It can store up to 360 terrabytes - the equivalent of half a million conventional compact discs - while withstanding temperatures of up to 832 degrees Fahrenheit.

The scientists who developed the technology have likened it to the same type of crystal storage system used by comic book hero Superman to store his parents' data archives.

"It is thrilling to think that we have created the first document which will likely survive the human race," said Professor Peter Kazanksy. "This technology can secure the last evidence of civilization."

"All we’ve learnt will not be forgotten." - 'Superman' Memory Crystal Would Last 1 Million Years

Derrel Sims: Alien Implant From India

Just back from my trip to India, and it was epic in many ways. To experience this rich, ancient culture first-hand was a wonderful opportunity. I made friends and allies, and we’ve got the start of an effective research organization there.

My young investigators have all the right stuff and we hope to break to the stigma against the topic that exists in this fascinating country.

The case they uncovered that brought me to India involves a bright professional woman in her early 30s. She and some of her family members have experienced multiple contact with what they described as children as “monkey people.” Our patient has recall of receiving alien implants at various times in her life.

My investigators were impressed with her story, the details and clarity, as well as the physical evidence she presented. They shared her medical records, Xrays and reports, and after I spoke with her myself, I believed this was a genuine case with the markers of the rare alien implant in her shoulder. The True-Life Horror that Inspired Moby-Dick

In July of 1852, a 32-year-old novelist named Herman Melville had high hopes for his new novel, Moby-Dick; or, The Whale, despite the book’s mixed reviews and tepid sales. That month he took a steamer to Nantucket for his first visit to the Massachusetts island, home port of his novel’s mythic protagonist, Captain Ahab, and his ship, the Pequod. Like a tourist, Melville met local dignitaries, dined out and took in the sights of the village he had previously only imagined.

And on his last day on Nantucket he met the broken-down 60-year-old man who had captained the Essex, the ship that had been attacked and sunk by a sperm whale in an 1820 incident that had inspired Melville’s novel. Captain George Pollard Jr. was just 29 years old when the Essex went down, and he survived and returned to Nantucket to captain a second whaling ship, Two Brothers. But when that ship wrecked on a coral reef two years later, the captain was marked as unlucky at sea—a “Jonah”—and no owner would trust a ship to him again. Pollard lived out his remaining years on land, as the village night watchman.

Melville had written about Pollard briefly in Moby-Dick, and only with regard to the whale sinking his ship. During his visit, Melville later wrote, the two merely “exchanged some words.” But Melville knew Pollard’s ordeal at sea did not end with the sinking of the Essex, and he was not about to evoke the horrific memories that the captain surely carried with him. “To the islanders he was a nobody,” Melville wrote, “to me, the most impressive man, tho’ wholly unassuming, even humble—that I ever encountered.” Continue reading at The True-Life Horror that Inspired Moby-Dick
