Daily 2 Cents: Girl Dreams of 'Slenderman' Before Ever Hearing About Him -- Creepy Devil Doll -- Unknown Sea Creature
Girl Dreams of 'Slenderman' Before Ever Hearing About Him
Rachel, a guest of Dave Schrader's Darkness Radio had a bizarre dream that would make more sense in the later years.
“When I was younger, in fifth grade, we had no idea what Slender Man was. It wasn't a big part of fifth grader's lives. Well, the big thing about it is – have you played the games? You're supposed to walk around and find these notes that are pinned to trees and stuff like that. So one night I was sleeping. I had a dream that me and my friend were sitting out in the driveway of my old house. Not the house that I live in now. I can't remember what I needed my mother for but I ran to the garage door, I flung it open, I asked her the question. There was a man, no face, black suit and things sticking out of his back. I didn't know who he was but I didn't think of it as anything at first so I shut the door. So he came down the stairs after I had shut the door on him and I opened the door again and I said, 'Who are you, what are you doing in my house?' He doesn't talk. He doesn't say anything to me obviously because he has no mouth. He handed me a note that he didn't let me read all the way but the first line said that your mother is dead which freaked me out because she is my best friend. So, I was like, that's not good. So I started to scream but nothing came out – screaming for my friend but she was gone. I turned around and said, 'What did you do with my friend' and he gave me another note that said, the first line said, She is at safety, you're going to die here alone. So I started screaming again and eventually... I turned around, I'm screaming, I'm running. I wake up in full sweat. I'm smelly and gross because I've been running in my dream. A couple of years later I still thought about it once in awhile and it still freaks me out to this day. I can still see it play over and over in my head, as I'm telling this story. And I was listening to my friends on the bus. Yeah, I was in the ninth grade and they were talking about this guy with no face. I was like, that seems kind of familiar so I downloaded the game and I was like, I know him! Oh, I had a dream about him when I was very young. It was so weird. Exact same.

Creepy Devil Doll
Old footage showing a strange child-sized doll that can walk like a human has gone viral on the Internet.
Believed to have been recorded around 40 years ago, the video demonstrates an eerily life-like toy that is thought to have been originally designed to help teach young girls how to walk.
With its strangely realistic movements and large black eyes, the creepy contraption was filmed in Saltillo, Mexico and was part of a series of toys known as 'Lily Lady'.
The footage has since gone on to clock up over two million views on social media.

Unknown Sea Creature
A British tourist managed to capture the image of an unidentified sea creature while on holiday in Corfu.
52-year-old Harvey Robertson had been enjoying a Mediterranean cruise with his family when he discovered something unexpected in a photograph he'd taken inside a sea cave.
The image, which he'd captured by hanging the camera over the side of the boat, showed what appeared to be a peculiar grey creature that nobody had seen in the water at the time.
"I have no idea what it could have been, I have never seen anything like it," he said.
"I was trying to capture the water colour and was not looking at the water, the flash went off. I only saw the creature when looking back through my pics."
The image of the mystery animal has generated quite a lot of discussion since appearing online but so far nobody seems to know exactly what type of creature it actually is.

Real-Life 'Tractor Beam Developed
A team of researchers has invented a device that can levitate objects in the air using sound waves.
It might not be quite as sophisticated as the tractor beams seen in Star Trek and Star Wars, but this one at least actually exists and could provide significant advantages in a wide range of industries.
Previous attempts to levitate objects in the air have typically been done using magnetic fields, but now scientists have come up with a new way to accomplish the same thing using sound waves.
"We've all experienced the force of sound - if you go to a rock concert, not only do you hear it, but you can sometimes feel your innards being moved," said study co-author Bruce Drinkwater.
The actual sound waves used in the tractor beam, which operate at between 140 and 150 decibels, would be deafening if it weren't for the fact that they are only operating at 40 kilohertz - far above the hearing range of humans but audible to some animals such as dogs and dolphins.
So far the technology is only able to levitate lightweight polystyrene balls but in the future it may be possible to use the same method to move larger objects or even to perform medical operations - that is if the team can figure out how to miniaturize the system to work on the micron scale.
It's rather unlikely however that the tractor beam will be moving spaceships around anytime soon. Read more at Real-life tractor beam levitates objects using sound waves
