Live... Die... and Live Again - Part 11

By Stephen Ellis - How do the dead communicate with us? As detailed in previous parts, I do not know of any medium or psychic that can genuinely convey messages to or from the deceased. Those that I have seen use trickery, deception, electronics and cold-reading techniques. Despite what appears to be fraud surrounding communication with the dead, contact appears very possible. There are hundreds of thousands of recorded instances where people claim to have received messages from loved ones that have passed on.

To understand this, we must first clear our thinking from traditional thought and accept a fact that is not easy to accept: Most people believe that their mind or consciousness is a part of their brain…or possibly comes from some other part of their physical body. Thousands of brain scans, autopsies and experiments by science to show that the mind is a part of your brain have been performed. Intensive research by scientists using the most sophisticated techniques have resulted in one single conclusion: our mind cannot be located in any part of our brain or physical body! I will repeat that as it is extremely important: Our mind cannot be located in any part of our brain or physical body!

Of course, when we “think” we hear our own voice in our head talking to us…and since our brain is in our head, it is natural to assume that the mind is also there.

An important “key” to understanding how to communicate with the dead starts with finding the true source of that voice in our head that speaks to us…our mind. Common sense and logic deduce that If it is not coming from someplace within our body (as absolutely exhaustive research has shown), the source must be coming from outside of our body. Inasmuch as our physical bodies do not contain any hidden microphones or micro-chips, the only remaining conclusion is that the source of that voice in our head emanates from something our five senses of sight, sound, smell, touch and taste cannot detect. By definition: if none of our five senses can perceive something, it is not within our scope of life. Anything that exists but is not within our scope of life is defined as being in a different dimension. Proof of this is around us everywhere…but we don’t take the time to notice it.

Try a simple experiment: Walk into a room that you are familiar with…a room where you know every corner, every crack in the ceiling, picture on the wall, etc. Then close your eyes and keep them closed for at least one minute. Then, keeping your eyes closed, try to visualize the room in every detail. Open your eyes and you will see a number of things your mind’s vision missed. That’s because, without the aid of your optic nerves, your mind, emanating from a different dimension, sees the room from a different dimension’s perspective.

When you sleep, your brain sleeps. It rests and recharges itself. Physical or emotional problems may disturb the brain and wake it from sleep: i.e. you need to use the toilet; there is a crisis going on in your life; etc. It’s only when you genuinely sleep that the brain shuts down and the mind takes over…and you begin to dream. Dreams are created by your mind. You may see people you know in dreams…but somehow they look different. You may visit places you know but, again, they do not look exactly as you remember them. Then, too, you may see faces and people you do not recognize…but you see them in such intricate detail it would be difficult to imagine that they are not real. It would be impossible to prove, but there is a strong possibility that these “dream” faces may well be faces or places from your past lives.

If, in fact, the source of that voice in our head comes from another dimension, it follows that our dreams, too, are from that same dimension. When we awaken, we return to the dimension of life. That’s why details of dreams are so difficult to retain when we awaken. It’s also why communications from deceased loved ones can best enter our heads when we are asleep. The dead exist in a different dimension that our five senses cannot perceive. But when we sleep, and our brain is at rest, there is a melding of those communication lines and communication, however limited, becomes possible.

A young lady I knew told me that when she was about eighteen, she was home alone as her parents were vacationing in Europe. That night, she was awakened by her father (he’s supposed to be in Europe). He told her to go to her desk and write down what he told her. She did. He gave her the location of some secret bank accounts and hidden assets. She wrote them down, then her father was gone. She went back to bed and fell asleep uncertain as to whether what happened was real or part of a dream. The following morning she was awakened by a telephone call informing her that both her parents had been killed in an automobile accident in Germany one day earlier. She went to her desk and saw the notes she had made while half-asleep. The location of the bank accounts and other assets proved to be accurate.

There was no way to verify what she told me, but I had known the girl quite well for a number of years and in my opinion she was not the type of person to make-up a story like that.

Another (and apparently superior) way of communicating with the dead is via hypnosis. Being “regressed” to a time before you were born has not only been successful in a number of cases, there is now a growing field in psychiatry where the psychiatrist seeks out the roots of emotional problems using hypnotic regression. We will detail irrefutable evidence about contacting the dead through hypnosis in a future part of this series.
