Daily 2 Cents: Woman Thought She Was Dead For Over A Year -- Alien-Like, Elongated Skull Found in Russia -- UFO Hovered Outside of Window

A Woman Thought She Was Dead For Over A Year

A 21-year-old woman who thought she was dead for over a year during high school revealed morbid details of her ordeal in a Reddit AMA this week. “I thought I had been killed by one of my hallucinations, and literally thought I was a ghost,” the woman writing under the username “fishglubber” said in her Reddit post.

The woman says her doctors diagnosed her with schizoaffective disorder, which is characterized by hallucinations, delusions and other symptoms including mania or depression, according to The National Alliance on Mental Illness. The hallucinations she experienced were that of being dead, which can also be characterized as an extremely rare mental condition called Cotard’s Syndrome.

In 1880, neurologist Jules Cotard first described the illness, which he said drives people to think they lost organs, blood or body parts—or believe they lost their souls or are dead altogether. It is unknown how many people in the world suffer from the condition; “Fishglubber” estimates there are fewer than 100, although she didn’t offer evidence backing her claim.

Regardless, it doesn’t appear that “fishglubber” is the only one who has suffered. Doctors were baffled when a man thought he killed his brain after electrocuting himself in a bathtub trying to commit suicide. In another case, a 53-year-old Filipino woman got psychiatric help after she complained to her family that she was dead.

Here’s how “fishglubber” described her episode:

I died when my hallucination killed me. I saw my own body, lying there, dead, in the middle of the store. I looked around. More versions of me, dead, in various ways, everywhere. I saw dead people, and they were all me. It was in that moment that I “realized” that I had been murdered, my body was no more, and I was a ghost. I died in various ways, with my body from various alternate universes being pulled into that store, sometimes poisoned, sometimes stabbed, sometimes shot, sometimes decapitated, but always dead…

You think it’s trippy now, but- the hallucination who killed me was me from the future, who was consumed by her illness and wanted to stop her timeline from occurring, so she killed every version of me from any universe so she would be free.

The woman says that when she was “dead” she would unsuccessfully attempt to walk into walls. She was ashamed to eat or relieve herself because it didn’t make sense that she would still need to. She also recounted hallucinations before and during her “death” episode, which range from having a blue-colored boyfriend who spoke to her in puzzles to seeing a future of herself called “evil!future!me.” She took “evil!future!me” to the prom.

“Fishglubber” has since recovered from the condition and is currently writing an autobiography, which hundreds of Reddit users have encouraged. “I now know why they write ‘Rest in Peace’ on tombstones,” she wrote wrote. “Death, at least how I experienced feelings of it, is far from peaceful at times.” - A Woman Thought She Was Dead For Over A Year

Alien-like, Elongated Skull Found in Russia

The remains of a woman with an alien-like, elongated skull were unearthed not long ago by archaeologists in Russia. The skeleton was recovered from an archaeological site in the country's Chelyabinsk Oblast called Arkaim.

While the skeleton appears to be about 2,000 years old, the archaeological site of Arkaim dates back to about 4,000 years ago. In those days, it was a settlement of the Sintashta-Petrovka culture and covered an area of about 20,000 square meters (about 215,000 square feet).

Discovered in 1987, the settlement comprised a central square surrounded by dwellings. Walls designed to keep intruders at bay and protect its inhabitants encircled it. It in heydays, it was home to around 1,500 to 2,500 people. Read more at Remains of Woman with Alien-like, Elongated Skull Found in Russia

UFO Hovered Outside of Window

Toronto, Ontario, Canada - 11/1980: I had recently moved into a 5-storey building, occupying the top floor. Listening to the radio while unpacking at night, my radio started to malfunction. As I turned towards the radio, I noticed a glowing light outside (I had no window curtains yet installed on the windows). I put on my glasses, and walked towards the window. The window was almost completely floor to ceiling, with a large picture window in the centre, and two large casement windows on each side that I could open.

I saw a silver-coloured oval object appearing to rest on the rooftop of the smaller apartment building across the street. This apartment building was perhaps 3-storeys tall. The object was oval with a dome on top. There appeared to be opaque windows in the centre that were spinning.

Within seconds of standing at the window looking down on the object, it started to rise up to my window level in height and then move towards my window and hover over the road right in front of me. It had blue/red lights underneath I think because these colours were near its bottom.

I was in shock and at the same time fascinated by what I was seeing. The object had a smooth metallic surface, no rivets, bolts, screws or anything holding the metal together was visible. It was silver/grey in colour, not dull but not shiny either. The "windows" I call the row of white lights in the middle, under the dome were spinning. I looked at the windows carefully and then I looked away to see if my eyes would be affected similar to when you look at a light bulb. No affect on my eyes. I tried to see if anyone was inside, even opening my casement window and looking out. The window was opaque. The object made absolutely no noise. It was about 12 feet from me and large enough to stand up inside - perhaps 7-10' in height and 30' long. I remember saying out loud, you are a beautiful machine.

All of a sudden I became frightened thinking it would take me away. I closed the window and was kneeling down and continued to look out the window. It was in no rush to leave and continued hovering in front of my window. I remember saying out loud, "do not take me please. If you do, my fiancé and family will not know what happened to me. Who are you and why are you here?"

It continued to hover for another few minutes and then slowly moved away from my window, over Kingston Road, and gently and gracefully moved east.

I re-opened my window again and said out loud, "be careful of the street-car lines". The craft was very close to the streetcar electrical wires and I was worried it was going to crash into the lines. It was gently maneuvering around the electrical lines to my amazement.

The total time I was seeing the object was perhaps 10 minutes. I immediately called and woke up my mother who lived just east of me. She went outside but did not see anything. I then called my fiancé who did not believe me. My mother later told my siblings and I faced some ridicule, especially from my brother so I decided not to officially report the event. It has haunted me all these years and I have felt very guilty for not reporting the event because I know it was real and perhaps it could of helped someone else who had also seen the object verify their account. After all these years, I am now reporting the event but do not want my name to be used please. - MUFON CMS
