It looked through the window...
Mississauga, Ontario, Canada - 7/1/2000: I just finished talking a shower and I left my washroom half dress to finish dressing in my room as I entered my room I could see there was a alien like being looking at me.
He was not doing anything. Just staring at me. He had gray like skin and was wearing some kind of tin foil like suit. He had big eyes, small nose and his mouth was closed. The part that stood out the most to me was that he was blinking and his eye lids met at the center of his eye. And that he was breathing in and out.
The blinds of the window were not closed yet but I could see him clearly.
I was not feeling that I was in danger or anything so I stood there for a good 20sec. I had no clue what to do, I was in shock. And me and him/her/it just stood there staring at each other After I ran away. Not sure if I ran the room across the hall or back to wash room, or downstairs to find my parents.
After 5 mins I went back to my room as I peeked in my room I saw that he was not there but I ran up to my window and I could see lights at the edge of the forest and in the forest behind my house. The light looked blue/white and there were blinking. Not sure if the actual light was blinking or it was the fact that the lights were in the forest and it was the trees making them blink.
I have never gone public with my story cause I tell a family member and they think I am stupid or crazy.
And this incident has left a lasting fear in my life. I am a 230lb full grown man and I am terrified too look out windows when it's dark out side. - MUFON CMS

OBE or Something Much Different?
The following account was forwarded by a reader in the UK. Was this an 'out of body experience' or something much different?
I was interested to read an article in Phantoms and Monsters about people who have had an out of the body experience and thought that I would send you an account of my own experience.
When I was twelve years old my mother took me to the dentist for a course of treatment which included fillings and extractions. On my last visit I had to have four teeth extracted, In those days they gave you gas and I remember the dentist putting the mask over my face and telling me to count to ten. I remember the smell of rubber as I was counting up to ten, I reached about half way and I groaned and then something strange happened. Instead of just being unconscious I found that I could still see but not as normal, everything had a white outline against a black background. I could 'see' the dentist pick up my left arm and drop it on the arm of the chair but I felt nothing. I could then see his face in front of mine and the thought entered my head that if I could see him and knew what was happening would I feel my teeth being pulled?
I have to tell you that I did. And another strange thing which honestly makes me question it all, for as he pulled on my teeth I saw his face change to an egg shape! Now the pain that I believed I was experiencing and the total lack of being able to communicate this, and the fear and anxiety of my predicament, brought on what I believe to have been an altered state of consciousness. For suddenly I heard a roaring noise in my ears and everything began to spin around and I seemed to come too and of being in a black void but feeling very peaceful. I had no memory of who I was or where I had just been it did not seem to matter. I did not seem to possess a body and yet I remember feeling that I was in an upright position.
I had no sense of movement and yet I was contented to be found where I was. It was then that I noticed a white light moving towards me from up above on my right-hand side and I began to turn and look up. It was then that I heard a man's voice ordering me to look down. I did and what seemed to me to be a long way away I saw what looked like a circle of dim light and a room with people in there bending over something, and then my memory came back and I remember thinking, that's the dentist's room - that is where I should be. I then remember slowly waking up from this experience and although I could not in those moments focus my eyes properly, I remember saying, "I have had an awful dream," and a voice like that of a woman's saying, "yes, we know you have."
I don't know what happened to me, and although I always cleaned my teeth as one is supposed too, I did not go back to the dentist for over thirty years. I once spoke with an anesthetist who said that I had not been put under properly. Yes I agree that may be a fair judgment but not to answer the whole of my experience. - RL
NOTE: It seems to me that RL experienced an altered state of consciousness...or better stated, an altered state of awareness. I believe this was achieved by an accidental dosage or a reaction to the anesthetic...especially if it contained an hallucinogenic or psychoactive drug. There are many stimuli that can produce an altered mind, including sensory deprivation, isolation, sleep deprivation, lucid dreaming, hypnosis, meditation, prayer and fasting. Lon

X-Files Creator 'wants to believe'
The man who created 'The X-Files' TV show maintains that his views echo those of Mulder's iconic poster.
With a new run of six episodes currently being filmed - the first return to the franchise since the 2008 movie 'The X-Files: I Want to Believe' and the first television episodes since the show was originally discontinued in 2002 - it's a good time to be a fan of the iconic science fiction series.
Original cast members David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson will be reprising their roles as Mulder and Scully respectively and several other original characters are set to return as well.
One of the reasons that the show proved so successful was because many of the stories and themes throughout the series were based on real-world legends and mysteries including alien abduction, government conspiracies, hauntings, UFOs and many more.
For the new series creator Chris Carter will also be drawing upon more recent events including the revelations by Wikileaks of government-sanctioned eavesdropping and cover-ups.
"You can imagine I was the least shocked person in the world," he said on the matter. "It is not surprising to me at all… those assertions and allegations are what I think The X-Files was built on."
While Carter has been heavily influenced over the years by weird and wonderful tales of everything from psychic warfare to strange creatures roaming the woods, his own beliefs happen to remain very much in line with the words on the famous poster that hung in Mulder's office.
"That ‘I Want To Believe’ poster states it so perfectly for me," he said. "I am looking for a paranormal experience. I am looking for a miracle, I am waiting for the supernatural."
"I am waiting to be confronted with something I can’t explain."
The new six-episode series of The X-Files is set to premiere on January 24, 2016. Read more at The X-Files creator Chris Carter on government conspiracies and paranormal experiences
