Frank Sinatra's Ghost 'Serenades' Bollywood Actor

I found this tidbit today:

Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan, who was shooting for ABCD 2 in USA and was staying in a famous luxury hotel in Las Vegas. He was checked into the Sinatra suite, which is one of the best suites in the hotel.

“While we were shooting in Vegas, I was given a suite at the Mirage which was called Sinatra suite because he used to stay there whenever he performed in the city.”

When some dancers in the ‘ABCD 2′ crew got to know of it they tried to scare Varun by telling him ghost stories about this suite just for fun. They used to tell him that the legendary Frank Sinatra stayed in this suite very often and thought of it as his home, so even after his death he hasn’t checked out of there.

This ghost story became a regular conversation topic for the crew and Varun knew they were trying to play a prank hence he always laughed them off.

It was only when, on one night, late after pack up when Varun returned to his room that he heard someone singing and the sounds of door creaking. Later, he says, that the door opened on its own.

“It was definitely haunted because at night I would hear someone singing and the doors would open weirdly. Either that or maybe because I got obsessed with listening to music because of ABCD 2” said Varun Dhawan.

Varun Dhawan also has Shraddha Kapoor in the lead and a majority of it has been shot in USA. - Indian Express

Now...this is the first I have heard about a suite in the Mirage being haunted by Frank Sinatra. His 'ghost' has supposedly been seen at the Riveria on occasion, as well as in Lake Tahoe (Cal Neva Resort, Spa & Casino). The Mirage Hotel and Casino was built in 1989 by mega casino mogul Steve Wynn...and I'm not sure if Sinatra ever stayed or performed there. The Mirage does display some of Sinatra's memorabilia, including his Academy Award for best supporting actor in From Here to Eternity.

On a few occasions in the 1990s, I stayed at the old Sahara Hotel and Casino (before it was completely renovated). That's when I was a Steelworkers representative and the union had a few conventions in Las Vegas. That place definitely had character...and was packed with spirit energy. You could almost hear Louis Prima's trumpet & voice as you walked through the lobby. Lon
