Daily 2 Cents: Conspiracy Theorists Calling Rosetta's Comet 'Alien Base' -- Levitating Rocks on Mars? -- 1/3 of Brits Believe Their House is Haunted
Conspiracy Theorists Calling Rosetta's Comet 'Alien Base'
The fact that a strange ‘clicking’ radio transmission seems to be coming from inside the comet – sounding eerily like a Predator’s jaws opening and closing – has just stoked the fires of conspiracy theorists, just as the Rosetta craft’s Philae Lander touches down.
Explore the internet too long, and you’ll be firmly convinced Ming the Merciless and Darth Vader are enjoying a final Martini inside before obliterating our planet, and using us all as sex-slaves in the brothel-pits of Proxima Centauri.
Nigel Watson, author of the Haynes UFO Investigations Manual says there are five main ‘theories’ as to what the rock might REALLY be.
To any UFO enthusiast, the idea that it might just be a lump of ice is preposterous, an obvious cover-up and frankly boring. Here’s what they REALLY believe…

One Third of Brits Believe Their House is Haunted
A third of Britons believe their house is haunted and some spooked homeowners are certain they have seen a ghost walking their corridors.
A quarter of those who feel their home has a supernatural presence were convinced a poltergeist had moved around their possessions.
And a sixth of those who thought their house was haunted said doors open or closed by themselves while a further sixth said they had even seen a ghost.
The figures come from a survey conducted Confused.com. Their head of home insurance Gareth Lane said: "Ghosts, ghouls and things that go bump in the night are usually seen in films and TV programmes.
"But for some homeowners, they are a very real concern with three in 10 Britons saying they thought their home was haunted.
"Whilst the most common cause for people thinking their home was haunted was strange noises, more than a quarter say their belongings would disappear without explanation.
"Whilst your nightmare neighbours are more likely to be the ones causing you problems, protecting yourself from unexplained disappearances and damage is vital."
The surgery also found more than a quarter of Britons would be put off buying a house if they believed it was haunted.
Two fifths would not contemplate living in a home if they knew something bad had happened there, such as a murder.
Of those who believed their home was haunted nearly a quarter tried to research the history of their house and area.
A tenth tried to contact the spirits to get an answer while a sixth had been forced to sell up and flee. - Express

State of the Blog
Picked up an additional 750 newsletter / feed subscribers in the past 4 weeks. Not really sure why...but 'thanks' to all. Since August 2008 (when I began to keep records) Phantoms and Monsters has received 12,800,000+ page views. There are also 22K+ active daily subscribers to the newsletter & feed. Though I do solicit donations and advertising...it is basically a free resource available to all. I plan to keep it that way for as long as possible. Lon
