An American Haunting
More than 30 years ago, a family in New England started to experience a series of terrifying events that would seek to drive them from their home. Most families who went through what they went through would flee their house. But this one did not.
The series of weird events took place in the late 1970s through the early 1980s. Websites devoted to this legend don’t seem to specify the location but simply state that this family lived in a New England town. Paranormal researchers have also not disclosed the actual name of this family in order to protect their privacy. Instead, investigators with the Psychical Research Foundation have given them the last name of Berini. Their first names have also been changed.
It all started when the father, who is called Joe Berini, decided to move his family into his ancestral home in the unnamed New England town. Joe had grown up in this house and some of his family members had died there too. Joe moved in with his wife, who is called Rose, and her two children from a previous marriage, who are called John and Daisy.
One night in May 1979, Rose reported hearing a strange disembodied voice in the house. It sounded like that of a little girl, she later reported. The first time she heard it, it said, “Mama, mama, this is Serena.”
None of the Berinis knew who Serena was or what this message might mean. But later, Joe learned that his father had a sister named Serena who died in the house at the age of 5 more than 50 years before. The very next day after Rose first heard Serena’s voice, her daughter Daisy was taken for a scheduled appointment to have her tonsils taken out. Something went wrong during the surgery. Daisy’s heart failed and she nearly died on the operating table, according to a website.
The girl’s voice was heard on several more occasions and it appeared to become an omen that something bad would soon happen. The family heard the voice the night before Joe’s grandmother suffered a stroke, and again right before the grandmother passed away. On another occasion, Joe was awakened by Serena’s voice to find his wife Rose choking in her sleep. When he awoke her, Rose said she had been having a nightmare about her ex-husband trying to strangle her.
Then, the ghostly voice stopped. From late 1979 to March 1981, the family encountered nothing more out of the ordinary. But in that spring of 1981, a new series of weird phenomena would haunt the Berinis. One night, Rose was startled by seeing the ghost of a small boy, dressed completely in white, walking along the upstairs hallway. The boy’s spirit appeared again a week and a half later. This time he spoke to Rose. “Where do all the lonely people go? Where do I belong?” the apparition asked her, according to a website.
Joe would also see the mysterious boy in white. He went to the place where the ghost appeared and began to check it out. Curious, Joe pulled up the floorboards and found a medallion of the Virgin Mary underneath. He remembered that his father’s younger brother called Giorgio had died in the house at the age of 8. The boy was buried in his all-white suit from his first Communion.
The spirit of Giorgio began to appear frequently to Joe and Rose over the next few months. The ghost would respond to their questions and seemed distressed. It would mention family members that Joe had not thought of for a long time. As the ghost vanished for the last time, the telephone next to Joe and Rose’s bed was thrown off the night table by an invisible force. This was the beginning of the weird poltergeist activity that would terrorize the Berinis in the weeks and months to come.

THE BERINI HAUNTING ENTITIES
Serena
It all started with a voice: "Mama, mama, this is Serena". Rose heard it first. Not knowing of any Serena in the family and after some research, the Berinis found that Joe's father had a sister who had died more than 50 years ago at the age of 5. The family would soon find out that the sound of Serena's small, sweet voice was actually a warning of bad things to come. Many serious health complications in the family (and even the death of Joe's grandmother) happened directly after Serena made contact with the Berinis. But Serena wasn't the only spirit who haunted the old house.
Giorgio
The little boy was first spotted in March 1981. "Where do all the lonely people go? Where do I belong?" Those heartbreaking words were determined to be, after further research, Joe's uncle Giorgio who died at age 8. The boy, dressed all in white, would roam the house apparently in search of something saying, "My oldest brother is the only one who can help me." At the end of his wanderings, he would sit in the same spot on the floor of the hallway. Joe would later pull up the floorboards where the boy sat. There he found a religious medallion. Not long after Giorgio appeared, a phone flew off of Joe's nightstand. And so began the poltergeist activity.
Don't Ignore the Dead
Joe phoned his parents to ask about his long dead uncle, but every time he spoke Giorgio's name, the phone line would cut out. The family, at the urging of a priest, started to ignore the spirits. The dead did not appreciate this. Doors would open and slam shut, objects would be ripped out of Rose's hands, the nightstand phone continued to be violently thrown against the wall and the sounds of running could be heard coming from all corners of the house. Was this Giorgio's fault? Probably not considering he apparently left after a while, making way for the most distressing spirit of all to enter the Berinis lives.
The Minister
The violent spirit, hunchbacked and decked out in a cape, would inform the Berini family that he was a "minister of God". It would turn out he was anything but that. The family was assaulted, the children smacked. Rose was hit in the head with the freezer door and a lamp and levitated from her bed only to be tossed on the hard floor below. Once at dinner, her head was grabbed and pulled to one side so much that she began to choke. At the same time, one of her arms began to bend and twist itself behind her back. The Berinis decided to flee the house after the bed started shaking and knives started flying. However, after this, an exorcism was performed and the Berinis were able to move back in, never again experiencing anything out of the ordinary.
NOTE: Some say that the Berini haunting was a poltergeist case. It's not. This was a case of a very powerful earthbound entity that stockpiled spirits from people that died at the location. The 'Minister' was violent and evil in life. This carried on after death and manifested into a malevolent and demanding earthbound entity. The 'Minister' kept 'Serena' & 'Giorgio' as companions and/or slaves. I have witnessed this before, but not at this intensity. Lon

USO Report From Cuba
This was forwarded to me (unedited):
I just receive this e-mail from Cubans ufologists:
On approximately 00:23 hours on 22 September 2013, our friend Hector Osvaldo Gonzales, of a UFO group in Alamar, and a radio broadcaster, while waiting for his entrance to the radio station with friends, decided to go down from street 23 to Malecon Avenue. To his surprise, reaching Malecon, he saw a group of 7 saucers flew, in the sea, almost closed to the coastal boardwalk strip. These objects display, at their bottom, a bright red orange light. The objects were traveling from east to west in a formation, in 2 groups of 3, and one behind. Passing through the area where he was, phone cellulars were interrupted, its began to ring, and even the time changed constantly. Some witness took photos, and this threw more curious. When they (the UFOs) realized the public’s present, I witness turned off its lights. It was a clear night, and we keep seeing the objects. One of my friends that had problems with its phone battery, suddenly it was restored. Some comments, contrary to Hector that assure they were UFOs that he was crazy, some said they were flares, others balloons, etc.. Finally, Hector decided to leave, when he notice the little education, regarding this issue that were around him. He believes that many saw these ships came from the Havana seafront wall; even many of these people probably have taken photos.
NOTE: This is Hector seven sighting; on three of them have pictures. I should clarify that these objects were observed for 10 minutes and then lost on the building FOCSA locate in Vedado.

Jack the Ripper mystery solved by top detective after 125 years
The Jack the Ripper mystery that has kept the world enthralled since the killer first struck on the streets of Victorian London has been blown apart on the 125th anniversary of the grisly crimes by a former murder squad detective.
And the bad news for the countless millions of amateur sleuths who have spent years trying to identify the nation’s most notorious serial killer is that he never existed.
He was just dreamed up by a drunken journalist called Thomas Bulling who wrote a forged letter to Scotland Yard in 1888 pretending to be “Jack” so he could obtain a scoop.
More than 300 books and dozens of films and TV programmes have named in excess of 100 different men, often on the flimsiest of evidence, as the serial murderer who slashed the throats of five women who he then disembowelled, bringing terror to the gas lit streets of Whitechapel.
The suspects have included everyone from Queen Victoria’s grandson the Duke of Clarence to Alice in Wonderland author Lewis Carroll. Continue reading at Jack the Ripper mystery solved by top detective after 125 years
