Google Reader and the Future of Subscription Service
Hi folks...as many of you know, Google Reader was shutdown several weeks ago. This reduced the blog's feed readers by almost 35%. It is my feeling that aggregate readers of RSS feeds are going to be phased out for another technology...maybe sooner than later. If you are searching for an alternative RSS reader, go to 46 Google Reader Alternatives for other choices. I have been using Feedburner for the email subscription service since I started writing the blog. Feedburner is owned by Google...and I don't sense that this service is going to be a part of Google's long-term plan. So...where does this leave us? I suppose I'll cross that bridge when I get there. Many of the other subscription delivery services require a fee and / or unreliable. You may find this link interesting - With Google Reader gone, can FeedBurner be far behind?. Thanks for your support...Lon
